I haven't been many places outside of the US but I can say that I've spoken with many who appreciate the opportunities this country offers. I live in metro Atlanta, Georgia. I've also lived in California, New York, New Jersey, North Carolina and New Mexico. Each state has it's pluses and minuses as I'm sure every country does. I for one, love this country even if I sometimes disagree with gov't politics, our educational and healthcare systems. If you hate where you live, why wouldn't you move instead of complain? Yes it hurts, but it's something that you really don't give much weight to once you are holding your baby. Each person is different and each pregnancy is different. Plus any surgery is risky. My first was 19 hours and was the most "pleasant" for lack of a better word. My third was only 4 hours and it was the most excruciating pain ever. I'd take 19 hours of labor any day over that The birth itself was push push push out and it's over. Unless there are complications, birth is the easy part. You will need to network your butt off. Meet with employers and describe your situation and ask for advice. Depends on the field you want to get in as well. For example, banking would be much more difficult to get into as opposed to say a trade like auto repair.
