FunAdvice Advice from: shiva http://www.funadvice.com/my/advice/shiva en-us Re: Alcohol breath Because alcohol is assimilated through the digestive system, its expulsion happens by way of all of your cleansing, digestive, and respiratory organs. The smell is by all means hard to get rid of. As it is being processed through the body, any quantifiable consumption of alcohol permeates through your skin and lungs. Such crude attempts as eating raw garlic or onions, or eating up a box of mints to cover up the associated odor of excessive alcohol consumption are fruitless, and prone to garner even more suspicion. "Hey, Johnny, have you been eating raw onions?" Imagine that. Before I tell you what will work to remove the smell of alcohol from your person, I want to say that if you have a drinking problem, it's better you address that situation, as opposed to exposing yourself and others to greater peril through an accident or what not. The ONLY substances that will relieve you of alcohol smell after conspicuous consumption is a combination of pharmaceutical grade bentonite clay and activated willow charcoal. These items are available in capsule form at your local health food store for less than $10. Additionally, they absorb and expel alcohol quite rapidly from your digestive system. Take 10 capsules before going out to party, and you most probably wont even get drunk. If you have a drinking problem, it will serve you well to take a few capsules every hour or so, and then take like 10 more capsules and 16 ounces of water if you have had a lot to drink. All this aside, please...never, ever drink and drive. And if you have an alcohol problem, please address it and get the help you need. I lost 2 friends who drank and then got behind the wheel of a car. It's really not worth it. Otherwise, best of luck. shiva Tue, 06 Mar 2007 01:45:33 -0800 http://www.funadvice.com/q/alcohol_breath 40354
