FunAdvice Advice from: rabbitgirl413 http://www.funadvice.com/my/advice/rabbitgirl413 en-us Re: Has anyone had a pet rabbit? 1. You shouldn't keep it in a carrier because its way to small!!! They need enough room to hop around and stretch out- and to stand up on their hind legs all the way... They only bite if they feel threatened, because they're scared. They get really frightened easily.. but once they grow to trust and love you they probably won't bite, unless like I said if they feel threatened... usually you can't really keep them in your lap because they don't like heights and they get scared most of the time... but sometimes you can. Just make sure you don't let them fall or jump out of your lap because if they fall/jump from really big heights it could hurt them big time. They're not that chill really... although if they are spayed/neutered they're more relaxed. Also if you get a lop bunny or a bigger breed of bunny they're usually more chill... And it depends what your definition of big messes are... typically rabbits are very clean... but they mostly don't make really big messes... Once in a while they do but its easy to clean up. (btw if you get a rabbit and if they pee on your carpet while they're out of their cage or something... You can easily clean it off with vinegar, plus they don't like the smell of the vinegar so they won't want to go there again...
