I was in a class with 5-10 year olds. omg it sucked. but I worked really hard and then next year I was in a class with people my age. find a ballet studio near you that isnt screaming WE'VE WON A MILLION TROPHIES AT COMPETITIONS, or one that isnt too small and you havent even heard of it. one in the middle is a good place to start out. then call them and ask for their beginners classes. but you have to understand that ballet is hard.
