FunAdvice Advice from: onelove http://www.funadvice.com/my/advice/onelove I believe God is Truth and Character is all you truly have. You can lose it overnight; and never gain it back. I am from Miami and don't mind the heat...but I sometimes pray for snow. en-us Re: What vitimon will helpmy hair grow really fast? B Complex, Fish Oil, Niacin, MSM, and Amino Acids are help hair growth. Essential Fatty Acid, B Vitamins, and Protein is really necessary for hair growth to stop shedding, give the hair strength, and combat hair fall. Essential fatty acids in particular give the hair natural oils it needs to grow. I also use Beauty 4 Ashes B Vitamin Super Gro Mist: it contains alot of vitamins and natural nutrients that increase hair growth, especially some you can't regularly find in the store, like Saw Palmetto, Vitamin K, and Fenugreek. It also contains the ones I listed above. But, you will need to do more than just take vitamins. Eat healthy proteins as well. Get plenty of sleep so your hair can rejuvenate and stop applying heat and chemicals to your hair. onelove Tue, 10 Jul 2007 16:27:55 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/what_vitimon_will_helpmy_hair_grow 69707 Re: What can I use to make black people hair grow faster? The key to black hair growth is moisture. Because the hair is curly, it is difficult for natural oils and moisture, needed for hair growth, to travel from the hair follicle, to the strand and ends. An essential fatty acid supplement, such as Omega 6, or Flax Oil, can help give the hair moisture it needs to not break, not split, and grow longer. But, remember, hair growth requires more than vitamins. Hair growth is also stunted for black women because they use chemicals on their hair, whether from relaxers or personal care products, that only give their hair more dryness and cause it to be brittle and split. Black women should use natural products; i.e. Beauty 4 Ashes Super Gro products, which are all natural and contain hair growth stimulating herbs, or Aubrey Organics, which, although not made for black hair, can help black women's hair porosity and protein. Eat more protein, such as fish, nuts, soy, beans, and dark greens. Limit the use of heat on your hair. Do not overprocess your relaxers. Do not use brushes or combs with hard line breaks. Style your hair with no spritz or gel. And, don’t cut your hair! onelove Tue, 10 Jul 2007 16:26:56 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/what_can_i_use_to_make_black_people 69706 Re: What is the best hair vitamins for black women hair? Black women hair, although more curly in texture, and drier, does not require any more vitamins than any other hair you want to grow. The key to black hair growth is moisture. Step 1: Protein is a must. Incorporate protein in your foods, supplements, and hair care products, it will strengthen the hair shaft, reduce breakage, and stop shedding. Great foods that contain protein and hair strengthening vitamins are fish, turkey, chicken, beans, sunflower seeds, coconut, spinach, carrots, whole wheats, and soy. Consider drink a soy supplement daily or taking amino acids daily. Step 2: Limit your use of most drugstore shampoos and conditioners. Try shampooing with your hair with 1/2 cup of green tea, 1/4 tsp of baking sods, 1/4 tsp of lemon juice, and 2 T of olive oil. When I want to really accelerate my hair growth, I use A Double Portion Super Gro Shampoo. It is all natural and contain many herbs proven to increase hair growth and also stop balding; I.e. rosemary, sage, amla, and coconut. You can research the hair growth effects of these yourself. These are salon products and are more expensive, but when I use them, my hair grows at least 1 inch a month. You can find them at Beauty 4 Ashes Christian Co’s website. Step 3: Style your hair for hair growth. Cover your hair at night with a silk wrap. Minimize your hair's exposure to heat, chlorine, sulfates (found in 99% drugstore shampoos), color dyes and color rinses. Keep your hair in a ponytail or wear it loose, to allow it to get oxygen. Do not braid/pull your hair tightly. Also, consider sleeping on a satin pillowcase. Do not wear hats all day. Do not rub your hair when you towel dry after a shampoo. Towel blot it to stop splitting. Step 4: Get your blood circulating. Exercise makes your hair grow faster, because more oxygen is circulating to the scalp. Oxygen gives life. Also, massage your scalp daily with light natural oils. Shea, Jojoba, Vitamin E, and Coconut all are excellent. Shampoo and Condition your hair. It needs moisture, protein, and time to grow. You can condition your hair at home with mashed avocado, mayonnaise, herbal tea, and olive oil. And, DO NOT CUT YOUR HAIR. IT IS NOT NECESSARY. onelove Tue, 10 Jul 2007 16:17:12 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/how_do_you_make_your_hair_grow_faster 69702 Re: What vitamins help increase hair growth? However, you need to use a natural oil or natural hair growth stimulant when massaging your hair. PURE Coconut Oil is excellent massaging oil because it is one of the only oils that contains proteins absorbable by the hair. Protein is necessary to have healthy hair growth, as it strenghten your hair shaft and reduces breakage. Losing less hair equals more hair. Beauty 4 Ashes Ayurvedic Scalp Food Gel is also great because it contains Saw Palmetto and Fenugreek. Ayurvedic remedies truly work and Fenugreek is a proven fighter of baldness. A painter discovered it when trying to clear his chest congestion, but also saw his balding head and regrown hair. It is good stuff. While hair growth is partly genetic, you can increase your normal hair growth rate. As with anything genetic, such as being predisposed to be obese, you can diminish or increase the effect of genetics. Make sure you eat alot of LEAN Protein. Take a B Complex and Vitamin E. Stay relaxed. Use as few chemicals on your hair as possible (chlorine, sulfate based shampoos). And be patient. You can help increase your hair growth. onelove Tue, 10 Jul 2007 16:07:54 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/does_it_really_work 69698 Re: How can I help my hair grow long? Minoxidal and Propecia are both chemical products made for balding..I am sure that stimulate your hair growth. However, they have serious side effects. I would recommend you try some natural remedies; i.e. Vitamin E, Rosemary, Sage, Coconut, Saw Palmetto, and Zinc. Nioxin, which is a better alternative than Propecia, is a hair care system that won't necessarily grow your hair, but will make it thicker. Beauty 4 Ashes A Double Portion products are all natural and made for hair growth and work very well to increase hair growth. But, they are salon products used in hair loss clients, so are a little pricey. But, when I use mine..my hair grows at least 1 inch a month. onelove Tue, 10 Jul 2007 15:58:32 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/long_hair 69696 Re: How can I help my hair grow faster and longer? While there is no miracle product, there are many things that you can do and products that you can use to grow your hair faster, no matter the hair texture. The advice given below is great. I echo much of it. However, there are certain foods and plants that facilitate hair growth, similar to how many plants have unintended medicinal effects. For example, Aloe Vera heals wounds and burns. Here are some tips that have worked for me. Step 1: Protein is a must. Incorporate protein in your foods, supplements, and hair care products, it will strengthen the hair shaft, reduce breakage, and stop shedding.
