FunAdvice Advice from: mrmadcat http://www.funadvice.com/my/advice/mrmadcat The man with the plan :) Always coming up with ideas, yet nearly always failing them to create even more ideas. Eventually I'll create a plan that will change the world, and everyone in it! I am so close, no one will have expected my ideas to be even the slightest bit possible. Intelligence is only measured by humanity and thus, the biggest flaw was trying to compare one set of life to another. This is where I will prove and change the word intelligence for many years to come. Or perhaps I am just insane :D en-us Re: Why do people care more about homeless dogs than homeless people? LOL Ok, learn some ecology and try not to spam when you can fit that all in 1 post. And this line means nothing to me "you seriously sound mental here", as I already stated I was dropped from a mental institution and dumped on the streets with no care or solution to my mental illness. mrmadcat Thu, 10 Apr 2008 06:54:02 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/why_do_people_care_more_about_homeless 305897 Re: How should I approach him? To be honest one thing I've learned is people tend to do the "cloak and dagger" approach to everything and look at things more than they possibly are. He may be looking at you because that's how humans actually communicate, through mostly body language and eye contact. This works the same in other animals, for example, a dog or cat will "look" at a person and what they are doing, but after both eye contact happens (the person notices the viewing), the animal will then switch to either continuing to look or turn its gaze away. So yes, you possiblu can tell that he likes you, but if I'm getting your question right you want to have a more deeper relationship thing with him? If so, just come out with it. Approach him the next time he is "looking" at you and ask him what he's looking at, in a flirty kind of way. If he responds with a flirt back, then you can basically just ask if he "likes you more than a friend". If he says "No", just move on. You'll save yourself time nad effort if you find out soon. The worse than can happen is you get rejected, but believe me, if you "lose" him as a friend then he wasn't a friend anyway, so it's a simple case of "Go for it!". mrmadcat Mon, 04 Feb 2008 21:50:37 -0800 http://www.funadvice.com/q/how_should_i_approach_him 211314 Re: Why do people care more about homeless dogs than homeless people? Gumguy you down play the "animal" ability to adapt and survive. Human's aren't as capable of survival as you may think they are. mrmadcat Fri, 18 Jan 2008 03:57:46 -0800 http://www.funadvice.com/q/why_do_people_care_more_about_homeless 191712 Re: Why do people care more about homeless dogs than homeless people? In reply to Whiskey's comment, did you know that more human death are caused by domesticated dogs in one year than the same of Lions in 20 years? Dogs don't let people down? There's thousands of reports that don't make it to the media where dogs start eating their owners who are "dying" and unable to call for help. If the dog is hungry, it will consume its "owner", if not then it's actually an extraordinary case. Stop being so blind and open your eyes. HOMELESS people DO NOT usually put themselves in that situation. As I've said already there are homeless and there are legally declared homeless. Imagine, you're an autistic child, kicked out on the streets by your parents, and you're homeless.. Do you then help the child because of that? I bet you would... Do you understand that your post is as flawed as humanity itself? For example, you've put large portion of the human race down, yet you fail to see that dogs function in a similar level to humans? Social and culture are just different, but still existent. Dogs let DOGs down, DOGS let people down. See the logic there now? Rethink your post first before you make another reply. You're just thinking lopsided, you need to work on that before many people will even consider your post sensible. Until then it's just a little "dogs are sooo innocent" in disguise. Maybe you can say that to the families who have lost a child, or partner to a dog that just "snapped". They do, they sometimes get jealous, they sometimes kill babies to keep their "owners" (such a lame word) attention. It happens, more than you think. Nice doggy, eh? mrmadcat Sat, 05 Jan 2008 08:51:11 -0800 http://www.funadvice.com/q/why_do_people_care_more_about_homeless 177294 Re: Can humans and robots ever peacefully coexist? Well I have no current evidence, obviously because we're in the same time, right? I was only talking about the future and one can't prove the future, only predict it, which is what I have been doing. I could say humanity will no longer exist in 500 years, but I have no evidence, other than a predicted timeline. mrmadcat Thu, 06 Dec 2007 04:27:01 -0800 http://www.funadvice.com/q/can_humans_and_robots_ever_peacefully 153640 Re: Can humans and robots ever peacefully coexist? Not true Arachnid, at the rate of the last 100 years, we've seen over 600%+ increase to mechnical devices in homes. At the rate of human expansion and learning, we proceed to push ourselves even further than before. The first stage of AI in machines requires human input, or rather, learning from a human. We're not too far off from creating a machine that appears and acts human, maybe 15 years. At the speed of technilogical advancing, we can see another 35 years probably equal to the speed of technology in the last 200 years. It's not whether you look at it as 1,2,3,4,5 years etc of advanced technology but rather it increases as each year goes by with an increased percentage. Humans are unlocking more and more every day. We survive and proceed by history alone, thefefor, the more recorded history the faster the gain in the search for ever increasing information. We have more documented stuff to look back on 250 years ago than we did 1,000 years ago. We;re in the age of technological advancement, if you will. mrmadcat Thu, 06 Dec 2007 04:00:47 -0800 http://www.funadvice.com/q/can_humans_and_robots_ever_peacefully 153621 Re: How to stop getting so many emails from this site? http://www.funadvice.com/bookmarks Unsubscribe to all. mrmadcat Thu, 06 Dec 2007 03:29:32 -0800 http://www.funadvice.com/q/my_email_inbox_is_stuffed 153606 Re: Where can I get pills to make my girlfriend's butt larger? Grow up! mrmadcat Thu, 06 Dec 2007 03:15:36 -0800 http://www.funadvice.com/q/is_there_some_kind_of_pill_out_there 153600 Re: Can humans and robots ever peacefully coexist? We already do, Kamex. We are no longer the dominating focus in our human built society. Robots have been cutting jobs for up to 40% in some professions. Humans just don't have what it takes anymore to do manual strength/endurance work, as robots actually do it better and are easier to diagnose and fix when they reach their max limit. In another 50 years, expect robots with a very advanced AI to be communicating and making decisions. Whether humans and robots with sufficient AI can live together in the future, the answer is no. The fault is with humanity, which will be the cause limited production/creation of intelligent decision making robots and many fail-safe option to control such machines. Intelligence is measured by human capacity, and while people can argue "the human brain is faster/smarter than anything can be built", the fact remains that intelligence truly is something that is only possibly applied to humanity and as a social structure for our superiority. If something can advance on it's own from learned behavior, there is no saying where it will go. Organic evolution takes millions of years, but I'll tell you this much, mechanical evolution can be very short due to the way they are constructed. A decision making behavior learning robot with a large capacity for learning is indeed superior to humans, and if they figure out they are "slaves", it is possible that throughout time a war will ensue. mrmadcat Thu, 06 Dec 2007 03:14:53 -0800 http://www.funadvice.com/q/can_humans_and_robots_ever_peacefully 153599 Re: How can I lose weight? Hello there kkangel. I'm a guy, but also my job involves nutrition. The best way to change weight is the often ignored method of shifting metabolism. This can be done by changing the times, frequency, amount and sorts of food you eat. This method is the most successful method for changing weight without changing your desire/dislike for foods radically. If you want more informational just sent me a mail or something. I've helped lots of girls lose weight in the past who thoughts they couldn't. mrmadcat Mon, 03 Dec 2007 00:09:24 -0800 http://www.funadvice.com/q/how_can_i_lose_weight_6165 151334 Re: Why do people care more about homeless dogs than homeless people? "If they are in the streets, they gave up on themselves. " This is utter bs. I bet you've never experienced being homeless before, therefor you have no right to even conclude anything. People like you look down on homeless people because you're too ignorant to see outside the box. I was homeless for 5 years and I was forced that way. Kicked out on the streets in a city I did not know, with no social skills at all. Did you KNOW that most homeless people are actually people that were released with mental issues? I know I was. I couldn't even talk to people I have no way speak verbally. I have several medical conditions so going to a homeless shelter was ridiculous as I couldn't stay there more than 30 minutes. Getting meals was also not that easy. What decisions did I make to be put in that situation? Oh, I got ill, I was sent to hospital, then released years later still "sick" and they expected me to just sort everything out on my own. Or how about the situation before that where I was in Syria and had to deal with all sorts of things over there. I was homeless for months at a time with another group of people due to our homes being taken from us. The same subject is on suicide. Most people who kill themselves don't actually want to die, they just can't see any other possible way out. Most losers who call people "lazy" when they're "homeless" wouldn't even last 1 day on the streets without running back to Mommy and Daddy. There are homeless people and there are PEOPLE that are declared homeless by the Government. Get your facts straight first! They are different and the ones you are talking about are DECLARED homeless, but aren't actually homeless. Those people ARE lazy, but us who have actually been truly homeless it's extremely difficult to get by, especially if you have severely impacted social skills to begin with. mrmadcat Sun, 02 Dec 2007 23:56:00 -0800 http://www.funadvice.com/q/why_do_people_care_more_about_homeless 151330 Re: How do I stop my cat from moving the cat bowl? Easy answer; Use a Ceramic Bowl. That's what they are there for when it comes to dogs, the same applies to cats. Use a heavy bowl and they won't move it. mrmadcat Sun, 02 Dec 2007 23:46:49 -0800 http://www.funadvice.com/q/how_do_i_stop_making_my_cat_move 151329 Re: How do you bathe a cat? Cats should be conditioned to water early on. As kittens, introduction to water/bathes/showers enables them later on to actually willingly have one on their own. It's all learned behavior. To bathe a cat just fill the water as high as you usually do to have a bath, jump in there yourself, and put your kitty in there with you. This only applies to KITTENs that are PURELY indoors and do not have parasites/fleas. Kitties are just like having a bath with a baby. Seriously! They get used to it and later on they actually jump in the bath with you. Psychology for the win :) mrmadcat Sun, 02 Dec 2007 23:45:16 -0800 http://www.funadvice.com/q/webcam 151296 Re: How do you put a dangerous dog to sleep without taking it to a vet? In 19 countries if you kill a pet classed as "domesticated" you will be fined and possibly a small prison sentence. In other countries, they enforce this hardcore so that if you kill a pet intentionally because you "don't want to deal with it anymore" or any other similar reason, you're looking at up to 3 months in prison and a $5,000 fine. If you can't handle the dog, take it to someone who can, or put it on a professional who has the legal right to put the dog to sleep. You do not have any qualifications as a vet, therefor you have no legal right to give a lethal shot to the dog unless defending yourself. If you're in the United States you can probably get away with it, as the laws on protecting pets are very weak in nearly every US state. If you do kill the dog yourself, I hope one day someone stands over you and starts to ponder on how he/she is going to kill you, then finally give you a shot to end your life. mrmadcat Sun, 02 Dec 2007 23:41:16 -0800 http://www.funadvice.com/q/dangerous_dog 151295 Re: Which milk is better for weight loss? No milk at all to be honest. Milk is bad for humans anyway and if on weight loss you should probably substitute milk altogether for something else. If you really must have milk go for the lowest fat one you can find, but know that in weight loss and weight gain fat is together to balance out several things. mrmadcat Sun, 02 Dec 2007 23:36:16 -0800 http://www.funadvice.com/q/weight_loss_6376 151294 Re: What is a modified PS2? As has been answered by Joe, there is a modded PS2 and a modified PS2. Both names have different meanings. A modded console in most cases changes something internally, IE; new firmware, etc to be able to do something it was not originally intended for. Usually can play pirated copies/backups/etc. Also, Joe is incorrect about the LAW in the United Kingdom. Modding a PS2, XBOX360, XBOX, etc is perfectly legal. Once you buy the console, it is actually still property of Sony, but for one to rip open hardware and modify it someway when it is classed as a consumer electronic/entertainment product is difficult to fine over. The UK Government has no way to enforce Sony's (don't modify) rule, and therefor the only way that people get fined if Sony actually take these people to court. The misunderstanding is that the only people that are prosecuted are the ones who are actually breaking the law, in other words using the modded console and/or other hardware to illegally sell or reproduce for the pirate market. There are several business out there that have been going for 10+ years who have been modding consoles on mass scales for a long time, and they have managed to be left alone. They are registered business and pay their tax. The reason why they are left alone is they are not illegally modding anything with the intent on piracy. They are selling them as "for use only playing backups of copies you already own". We all know the same could be applies to games backups, but believe it or not, t here are actually laws that prevent the mass selling of digital goods. A modded console is taking the original and change it a bit, requiring the console to still be used to play backups. Therefor there is never an unlimited supply, and there are no full scale restrictions as the console still has to be manufactured from scratch. mrmadcat Sun, 02 Dec 2007 23:33:01 -0800 http://www.funadvice.com/q/playstation 151293 Re: Can't get over here!! because I am still getting hurt... Well, just..kiss her neck, or cheek..just go for it!! Try it quickly. If she asks what you did it for, then just tell her because you couldn't resist. If she is interested she'll probably smile or giggle..The best way at that stage is to just ask her outright.."Can I kiss you?". It's polite, and some girls don't like that, but others do. With any girl, it's a bit of a gamble. A kiss for a girl is actually proven to be more important than it is to guys, so be careful. There's not really much you can do except try the basics before kissing her lips (neck, cheek, etc), and asking to kiss her on the lips. I'll tell you this much though, that the right thing to do is ask if you're unsure how it will turn out. Just drop her hints by looking at her mouth, and tell her that you wonder what it would feel like to kiss her. Those are just ways to find out what she wants. mrmadcat Mon, 22 May 2006 21:52:15 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/how_do_i_kiss_my_girlfriend 13637 Re: How do I kiss my girlfriend? Yep, try it at her house. Make sure she's in an OK mood though, and just set a romantic mood if you want. As she's your girlfriend, a simple way to set a romantic start to a kiss is to cuddle her, breathe on her neck and whisper "I love you", then kiss it gently. If she moans, or doesn't push you away, then you got a green light to move up to her lips. If she isn't so sure and pushes you away or says no, then respect her, and apologise. She'll understand. Oh and don't say the "I love you" words unless you really do love her. A lot of people can get hurt with those words if they are not real. mrmadcat Mon, 22 May 2006 21:46:00 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/how_do_i_kiss_my_girlfriend 13635 Re: How do I kiss my girlfriend? A peck on the cheek to start off. See how she reacts. When you hug her next, kiss her on the side of the cheek, or even her neck. If she responds positively to the neck thing, then gradually kiss your way up until your lips reach hers. Another way would be just wait for a moment where you two are enjoying yourself, and when something good happens (such as when she's happy), just give her a quick kiss on the lips. Although that might not go so well as the first thing I suggested. mrmadcat Mon, 22 May 2006 21:38:37 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/how_do_i_kiss_my_girlfriend 13631 Re: I LOVE SOMEBODY BUT DO THEY LOVE ME? It's immpossible to tell if someone loves you in this way. Love is often misunderstood at such a young age, and sadly confusion does set in. As a young girl, you're asking a question that should be asked once a relationship is well underway. You and this boy, are not in any other relationship than what seems to be friendship, so the answer to your question is that.....No, he does not love you, and in all honesty (I hate to say this), you don't love him either. It's too early to tell, and unless you and him are together as a couple for a while, it's definitely not love. If you feel you love him, and you're 13, it would have to probably be infatuation or unrequited love. Best of luck! mrmadcat Mon, 22 May 2006 17:32:27 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/i_love_somebody_but_do_they_love 13615 Re: Scared that I will fail to get into med school. Help!!! I am a big failure to myself, and to others. I know exactly how it feels to fail at something big. I can tell you, that the feeling to fail at something important is horrible, but also can say that for me, I had to face the fact that nothing is certain and that I would have another chance to do something that was important to me. I failed every bit of my education, because guess what, I had absolutely none! This has ruined me bad because I am unable to get a job, but slowly I am putting things together and looking at the positive side, that life is about accepting your failures, as well as your successes. We all learn from experiences, and it just helps us get better. If you fail, remember, it's NEVER the end and there will be another chance for success down the road. mrmadcat Mon, 22 May 2006 09:35:01 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/scared_that_i_will_fail_to_get_into_1579 13584 Re: whats a boner? The same thing happened to me recently, and still I feel it isn't supposed to be over, but if it does end there is nothing you can do about it but accept the truth, and that is, it was never meant to be. First step is to talk, second step is to reach an agreement on where to go next, and finally the third step is to compromise. mrmadcat Mon, 22 May 2006 07:10:06 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/how_can_i_stop_this 13579 Re: do rebounds work?
