Re: Trouble with eye liner

Sometimes just peciling steadily along the bottom lashes looks great. But other times, you need to actually pencil in the inner bottom lid but be very careful. You can also smudge the bottom lid eyeliner with a small angled shadow brush with a lttle bit ofblack shadow on it. This is most advisable when spplying some sort of shading on the top lid though.
Also, I'd recommend buying a good kohl eyeliner - Revlon or L'Oreal kohl eyelinere's hardly smudge so you can safely go throughout the day not worrying about getting panda eyes.

Having said that, most make up needs topping up every 2 hours or so - especially eyeliner Just make sure that there are no accidental smudges and you may want to re apply the eyeliner o the inner lid and the wetness from your eye ill have rubbed it out.

Finally - liquid eyeliner is best left to the top lid only. A thick swooping flick of it at the top looks gorgeous with no eyeliner on the bottom lid.

Re: What kind of eyebrows do you think are best?

Eyebrow shape should suit your face shape.

I advise investing in the book: 'Beautiful Brows' by Nancy Parker, only £4.09 from Amazon.com.

It tells you everything you need to know from the correct shape for your face to pencili in that right shape and plucking/hair removal techniques.

Re: Ahhh Eyebrows

Use an eyebrows pencil in your natural shade.

You might find that now is the chance to change your eyebrows shape (ahhh fun!)
I suggest getting the book 'Beautiful brows' by Nancy Parker as it gives you tips on how to shape and fix eyebrows plucked into oblivion. Maybe invest in or craft your own stencil.

You will need to blend the pencil once you have gently applied it as smoothly as you can. I suggest using a bit of water to blend fully as well, and additionally an eyebrow comb after it has dried.

Re: how can I make myself pretty

If ANYONE says "oh my god i would never ever go out with you, you are ugly" they are not worth anything, don't listen they are the ugly ones.

Everyone isbeautiful in their own way. You will find someone who appreciates you for you one day - dont rush. Just because all your friends have bfs that doesn't mean you have to have one.

I am a model, wear make up a lot and I receive compliments a lot from people I do not know (online) - but I don't have a boyfriend. I don't even want one. I've never had one, in fact. It's not about making yourself pretty - it's about feeling comfortable with whoyou are and what you look like.

No one can tell you how to make yourself look prettier in your own opinion. It's up to you to experiment and to see which styles suit you in your opinion. Don;t change yourself to suit other peoples ideals of what is beautiful because EVERYONE has their own, different view of what is and there will always be someone who disagress with you.

Hope that helped.

Re: What's the color scheme for makeup for green eyes?

I have green eyes and very pale skin.

I always start my make up with a good base - for daily makeup I juse a light foundation ALWAYS in tone 'Ivory' (usually Rimmel's new mousse formula as it stayd put thoughout the college day) as it is the lightest. I love my white skin so I also try to keep it as pale as it is naturally by applying a thin dusting of Stargazer's white pressed comapct face powder with a foundation brush after the foundation as dried.

Now for the eyes...smokey greys / dark colours and blacks are good. Try Stargazer's black eyeshadow. You can line the bottom lid with black kohl eyeliner (Revlon is the best) and then smudge it with an angled shadow brush with a little eyeshadow on it. Then, on the top lid, apply a little smudge of black eyeshadow in the outer corner of the eyes making sure you blend the edges. This opens the eye out and also does not look to overworked.

Also - GREEN eye make up looks gorgeous on green eyes. Try and find as much as you can - eyeliners, shadows and other pretty things such as MACs coloured 'pigment' in green or Barry M's 'dazzle dust' in green or black (they are sparkly!). Purple tend to go well with green eyes too.

I always finish with a sweeping o mascara on bothe top and bottome lashes.

Sometimes just a swooping flick of thick liquid eyeliner on the top lid look nice - on any eye colour. No liner needs to go on the bottom lid and you needn't put any mascara on either! It creates an elegant cat-like but practical look. (Er...thingy wears it like that on 'Ghost Whisperer'.)

Re: Why are most girls so curious about fashion?

How would you define fashion?

I have an immense interest in both alternative/gothic/extreme fashion and catwalk/mainstream fashion. I can make up my own mind - if there is a TREND like 'ugg' boots that I think looks ridiculous - I shun that TREND and don't buy any.

(I think the person above me got the terms 'fashion' and 'trend' mixed up.
It's true that major fashion houses try to dictate what everyone wears - but it's up to everyone to make their own decision about what they like.)

Anyway - girls like fashion because most girls LOVE to dress up. Being a model and amatuer fashion photographer - I love fashion and clothes and shoes and evreything else that comes with it. Except the pricey tags.
The way a girls dresses shows people what she is like.

Re: Blonde hair with dark eyebrows, would it still look ok?

It is not true that blondes with dark eyebrows look awful.

It definatley looks very striking and as long as you take care of your eyebrows then there should be no problem.

You can lighten your eyebrows with facial bleach - but bleaching them out completely might make you look as thought you have none at all. Similarly, you could try just plucking them into a thinner and more subtle shape.

Generally speaking, eyebrows are meant to be at least 2 shade lighter than your hair colour (naturally). But if someone has a radical hair change or extreme colour (bright red, unnatural colours) or of course bleached blonde - then jet black is actually recommended so I think it would look great =)

Re: I need to know how to dress goth

My first questin iswhy goth? Is is because most people say that goths are depressed and sadall the time?

That's not true. You could call me a goth. I definalety used to play up to the fashion and music side of it - but I am female so my make up and fashion tips probably won't help much unless you can see yourself donning a very high pair of PVC boots.
But what I discovered - Is that wearing black all the time actually bomes a little boring and depressing in itself. This could just make you feel worse. Although some online boutiques have great gothic clothing lines for men..

What I suggest is that you discover what it is you'd prefer to look likeand alter your look accordingly. If that is the generic black dyed hair, eyeliner, black clothes and NRs then fair enough.

You might find you don't want to.

Or can't be bothered =P

Re: Can black hair be colored by using store bought hair color dye?

I dyed my hair black for 2 years (naturally dark blonde) and had the colour lifted about 6 months ago at a hair salon.

It took 5 hours and they 'bleach cleansed' my hair, stripping it of the black pigment. However the magority of my went a sort of light shade brown and the roots were bright orange! I have to go back there in about 3 or 4 months to have it bleached out more so that the new shade of red I have is even more vibrant.

In my experience - no shop bought dyes will do a good job over black dyed hair. But I suppose it depends on how reglarly you dye it! I dyed it too often, and kept dying ALL of the hair.

Lots of bleaching and dying can weaken the hair and cause it to break and fall out so be careful and make sure you get professional guidance.
