FunAdvice Advice from: modernwinterbreeze http://www.funadvice.com/my/advice/modernwinterbreeze I'm Danielle, and I'm fifteen. I'm finally no longer a Sophomore in high school, so I'm going to be a Junior this Fall - finally! I enjoy music and writing in my spare time. I'll admit that I'm obsessed with the sixties, especially the Beatles! I love to give advice, so feel free to ask for advice if you have any questions. I'm more than happy to answer them and try my best to help. Also, I love meeting new people. en-us Re: My Girlfriend Doesn't Want To Get Physical You have been with your girlfriend for about a year now, which shows that her and you are doing very well. However, you can't make her have sex with you. Accept the fact that she goes by her religious and moral standards. You and her are not on the same page when it comes to your beliefs in sex. If you truly respect her morals, then let her wait for marriage. You can't convince her to not follow her religious views. Even if you two cannot have sex, it does not mean you and your girlfriend still can't be together. Considering that your girlfriend is very self-consious about herself, the only and best thing you can do is make her feel good about herself. Tell her everyday that she's beautiful and that she means a lot to you. Show her how much you really love her. modernwinterbreeze Sat, 05 Jul 2008 13:28:37 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/my_girlfriend_doesn_t_want_to_get 411624 Re: Do you think it is wrong to talk to a school councelor? Your mother is wrong. It is never a bad thing to talk to a school counselor about anything. That's why they're there. It is their job to be concerned about you and your needs. Never be afraid nor ashamed to talk to your counselor. modernwinterbreeze Sat, 05 Jul 2008 13:19:08 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/do_you_think_it_is_wrong_to_talk 411617 Re: How to get famous? Whether you want to be a singer or an actress, it could take years to achieve that goal. However, you would have to find a good, trust-worthy talent agent, where they book you auditions. Also, it is best to also take acting or singing lessons, depending on what you want to me. modernwinterbreeze Fri, 04 Jul 2008 09:16:48 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/famous_160300 410536 Re: What are some good british singers ? I've come across some pretty good UK singers, including Amy Winehouse, Adele, and Duffy. They're very good! modernwinterbreeze Fri, 04 Jul 2008 09:12:10 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/what_are_some_good_british_singers 410533 Re: Friend likes my boyfriend This friend of yours doesn't seem to respect you and your boyfriend's relationship. She's trying to break the bond that you have with your boyfriend and trying to have him as her own. To me, she doesn't seem like a good friend. modernwinterbreeze Mon, 30 Jun 2008 18:37:05 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/friend_33493 405051 Re: Use a Condom or no Condom Use a condom. You don't want to risk taking a chance without one. Anything could happen if you don't use a condom, including pregnancy for your girlfriend, AIDS, and even STD's. Think about your girlfriend because she's right! It's best to use a condom. And also, ask yourself if you're ready to have sex with her. Is she the right person? Consider talking about it more with her and try to be on the same page with her because it doesn't seem like it right now. She wants to use a condom, while you don't. Whether it's your first time, or the 20th time, it's always the right thing to wear a condom. modernwinterbreeze Sat, 28 Jun 2008 15:18:47 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/use_a_condom_or_no_condom_51086 402174 Re: How old were you when you got your first kiss? I was first kissed when I was fourteen by a guy friend I had at the time. Him and I unfortunately don't talk anymore. Personally, it was an exciting, though rather strange experience for me. I have never had a boyfriend myself, and the kiss I had with my guy friend was for a brief moment, and something to look back on and laugh about. The best thing for you is to have hope. Don't spend all your time, waiting for Mr. Right. He will come. modernwinterbreeze Fri, 27 Jun 2008 16:38:41 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/how_old_were_you_when_you_got_your_51086 401443 Re: In love with this girl who I hardly talk to I would talk to this girl. You have her MSN, so why not take the chance? I know, "easier said than done," though it doesn't hurt to try. You did say that she accepts the fact that you like her, so maybe that's a good sign. Trust me - it's best to become friends with her first before you rush into a relationship. Have a normal conversation with her about school, friends, hobbies, etc. Start out slow, and then take it from there. modernwinterbreeze Fri, 27 Jun 2008 16:33:19 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/i_dont_know_1934 401441 Re: Depression, should I talk to someone or take something? I would definitely talk to someone. It could either be a friend, family member or even your own therapist. It's not good at all to keep all of your thoughts and anger tangled up inside of you because it gets the tendency to make matters worse. There are many ways to calm yourself down. In your case, you like to play the guitar, which is a personal escape. Everyone gets angry now and then, and sometimes, we all get angry about something that won't even matter in the end. Things will all work out, but I wouldn't keep having these negative thoughts saying that you're not worth anything. If someone does tell you that you're not worth anything, then that's their issue, not yours, though I highly doubt whoever said that really means it, so I wouldn't worry about it. modernwinterbreeze Fri, 27 Jun 2008 16:28:19 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/depression_11679 401436 Re: I feel lonely No, I love my friends to death. It's just sometimes, I feel left out. That's all. modernwinterbreeze Fri, 27 Jun 2008 16:05:55 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/i_feel_lonely_1104 401412 Re: Still Sad about my cat dying Death is never an easy thing to deal with and in most cases, comes around unexpectedly. I'm very sorry to hear about your cat, but realize you're not alone. I lost my dog who had been with me since I was born, though unfortuantly, she was very old and it was her time to go. It has been about six years since her passing and I still think about her. Your cat won't physically be with you, but spiritually, yes. I can tell you that your cat is looking upon you every day and night. It's okay to cry and never be ashamed to cry or be sad because it's normal. Also, writing is another amazing escape, where you can write your feelings down on a piece of paper and knowing that all your feelings aren't wrapped up inside of you. Though in the end, the best way to remember your cat is to think about the memories you had with him. Always. modernwinterbreeze Fri, 27 Jun 2008 08:21:29 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/still_sad 400940 Re: John Lennon I never read that book, but I've been a fan of John Lennon for a long time now. Everyone had, and still has their own opinions on him, but personally, I don't think he was. He was married twice, first to Cynthia Powell, (Who still takes the name "Lennon"), and Yoko Ono. modernwinterbreeze Wed, 25 Jun 2008 18:06:38 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/john_lennon 398761 Re: Why guys do this? To me, he doesn't seem like a good friend. This guy seems like an absolute horndog who's in it for sex. When he asks you to do things you may consider awkward and uncomfortable with him, (cuddling, picturing him in the shower), of course you're takened back and can't find something to say that he wants to hear and he seems as if he expects you to say "yes" to all of his favors. It's good you're not giving in because if you did, he would unfortuantly attempt to use you whenever he needed you for HIS favors, which is disrespectful and selfish of him. modernwinterbreeze Wed, 25 Jun 2008 07:53:17 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/why_guys_do_this_57018 397822 Re: How do I get over my depression? I understand your pain because I've been there, though I was in a rather different situation, I do know how it's like to feel heartbroken and feel so upset about something. This girlfriend of yours started to become distant and cold towards you, which is far from something you deserve. You deserve a girl who will treat you with respect. You tried to talk to her and most likely, concerned and curious why she wasn't taking your calls or even letting you in the house. You never know, she may have been going through some tough times herself, but personally, if she's not willing to talk to you or even answer her phone when you call, she's not worth your time anymore. The only answer to a heartbreak is time. Time heals many things, including a heartbreak. Another way to feel better is talking to friends, family or even a therapist for that matter. I see a therapist occasionally and it's always good to see one, but always remember, many people have been in your shoes, and you're not alone. I wish you the best of luck! modernwinterbreeze Mon, 23 Jun 2008 17:03:14 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/how_do_i_get_over_my_depression 395611 Re: Am I being used? I can say right now I was in the exact situation you are in right now. I met a guy when I was a freshman in high school, and from the moment I met him, I was just as crazy for him as you are about this guy. I had the biggest crush on him, though unfortuantly, he never seemed to feel the same about me. The only physical contact we had with one another was when we made out, and he was my first kiss, but he never wanted a relationship with me. Turns out that in the end, he was a typical horndog who just wanted sex and he wanted nothing more. I found out not too long ago later on that now, he has a girlfriend. I was rather much heartbroken when I first found out. But for the most part, seems to me that it's hard to tell. Due to this guy always hugging and kissing you, he may either truely indeed like you and won't admit, or he's trying to pretty much get you to sleep with him. It would be so obvious to me that he was using you if he kept pressuring you to have sex with him, but I think he may be using you. So, I mean, the whole kissing/hugging thing he's doing - He may just be trying to get you in his pants. modernwinterbreeze Fri, 20 Jun 2008 17:23:26 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/what_to_do_am_i_being_used 392219 Re: Have you ever felt ugly sometimes? To be honest, I think everyone has faced a time when they felt ugly and awkward, especially the time of puberty and adolesence. modernwinterbreeze Fri, 20 Jun 2008 17:10:22 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/have_you_ever_felt_ugly_sometime 392213 Re: Virginity, will you always think of them? You'll always know you lost your virginity to that person. I wouldn't say that you would absolutely always think of that person, but there will always be a place in your mind, knowing that you lost your virginity to them. No matter what, it's always considered a special thing that you had with them, even if you're not planning to spend the rest of your life with them. modernwinterbreeze Fri, 20 Jun 2008 13:13:38 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/virginity_503 391992 Re: Conditioner on your legs? Yes, very much true. It doesn't just makes your skin smoother, but moisturizes your skin. modernwinterbreeze Tue, 17 Jun 2008 18:39:19 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/conditioner_on_your_legs 387852 Re: I'm going to miss this guy that's moving It is hard enough for him to move somewhere different from what he is used to. It seems like you're friends with this guy, and because of that, the two of you could still keep in touch by exchanging emails, screen names, and phone numbers, and you never know, maybe you two could also visit one another time to time. it could make anyone sad to see someone who's so important suddenly move away to a totally different place, neighborhood, everything, but my advice is to make the best of those last 25 days, because you don't really want to sit around and be upset that he's leaving. Don't let time go to waste. modernwinterbreeze Wed, 11 Jun 2008 04:14:20 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/sad 379512 Re: Ashlee simpson, pregnant? In the beginning, I thought it was just another rumor, but I read in a magazine and it said that she was four months pregnant or something like that. I am a big fan myself, and personally, I agree too that it will most likely slow down her career...for a while, but I think before we know it, she'll be back with her music. modernwinterbreeze Thu, 05 Jun 2008 18:55:09 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/ashlee_simpson_pregnant 372483 Re: Whats your chosen career? I'm going to be a Junior myself soon. I'm taking Psychology in Sociology in high school next year to see if I enjoy it. If I don't, I might want to be a hairdresser. modernwinterbreeze Tue, 03 Jun 2008 17:47:19 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/whats_your_chosen_career 370020 Re: Your First Kiss! My first kiss was awkward and made no sense when I look back on it now, to be honest. It was with a guy I became friends with, who I fell head over heels for. Turns out in the end, he was a total jerk, and I haven't talked to the guy in months. There's days that go by where I regretted it, but for the most part, I tend to laugh it off and let it go. modernwinterbreeze Mon, 02 Jun 2008 13:31:14 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/your_first_kiss_112410 368266 Re: Has anyone tasted the vitamin water energy drink? Though, I do like the Vitamin Water, just by itself, but not the energy drink. modernwinterbreeze Sun, 01 Jun 2008 11:02:00 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/yummy_yummy 366745 Re: Are first kisses really as awkward as I've heard?
