ROUTINE IS THE KEY! Addy is 8 months, and here is what we do, so maybe it can help you out a little. 7am-wake up & have 8 oz bottle 9am-3Tbls Cereal with apple juice 930am-short nap (usually less than 1 hour) 1130am-Lunch (size 2 jar of fruit & size 2 jar of veggies) 1pm-330pm NAP NAP NAP 330-8oz bottle (When she wakes up) 530-dinner (size 2 veggies & toast or something to gum on) 730-nice warm bath 8-read a book 830-3 Tbls cereal, 8 oz bottle, & BED My general rule is that she CANNOT sleep past 3pm. That way she is good & tired by the time she goes to bed. I find that loading her up with cereal & milk right before she goes down helps make her even more sleepy & keeps her down longer. She sleeps from 830 until about 6 or 7, which is awesome for us! jenm288 Fri, 11 Apr 2008 07:49:05 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/how_do_i_get_my_son_to_sleep_earlier 307251 Re: How much for Child Support? and if there is no such paycheck? jenm288 Thu, 10 Apr 2008 16:36:52 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/child_support_13439 306563 Re: How to tell my dad I might be pregnant? Go to a local clinic, they do free pregnancy tests there. Do not say anything until you know you ae definitely pregnant. But if you find out you are, just tell him. Be honest, and tell him as soon as you know. I got pregant at 18, and just bit the bullet & told my parents...they took it well and have been there for me ever since 100%. jenm288 Thu, 10 Apr 2008 14:04:08 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/help_221462 306352 Re: When to tell sex of baby? um no, you cannot tell the gender at 8 weeks. The baby has a set gender, but the external genitals have not formed yet, so you wont be able to tell. The earliest is about 15 weeks, but they usually can be much more certain aroud 18-20 weeks. Even then it is up to the baby to let everyone know. My daughter was stubborn, and would not let us see between her legs during my 18 week ultrasound, so we had to wait! jenm288 Thu, 10 Apr 2008 13:59:37 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/pregnancy_219576 306349 Re: Is it OK to give a 9-month-old cow's milk? Lol, this has me cracking up...I CANNOT BELIEVE YOU GIVE YOUR BABY ICE CREAM YOU HORRBLE MOMMY! I am being completely sarcastic of course...My daughter is 7.5 months old, and I let her taste a lot of new things! Today she had peanut butter...uh oh, she will probably be allergic now. How stupid of me...But seriously, Addison has had sips of chocolate milk, and whole milk, and even coke (OMG). I am going back to work also, and she looks at me like I'm crazy when I try to give her a bottle or formula...That stuff tastes SICK! I have given her an oz or so of whole milk a day, to get her system used to it, and will start mixing it 1/2 & 1/2 with formula when she is 9 months...then by 10 or 11 months, we will probably make the big switch. I will still breastfeed in the mornings when we get up, and at night before bedtime. Most of the claims people make about things being bad for our children are theories...so not true. Good luck :) jenm288 Thu, 10 Apr 2008 13:54:30 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/is_it_okay_to_give_my_9_months_old 306341
