Re: What's the best way to make money on a blog?

The best way to make money is to have a blog with good content that is always fresh and informative. People will want to come back often to see what you have to say. They'll want to link to your site and tell their friends about it. That is how you build traffic.

Building traffic my friend is the key to making money. Once you have at least a 100 people a day visiting your site it is easy to find ads and affiliates that will make you money.

Re: Does Adsense Make Money?

$2000 for adsense training is a complete ripoff. Buy a good book instead. "The Adsense Code" by Joel Comm is good for learning how to optimize the ad placement and design and has tons of tips in it.

How long it takes to make $2000 with adsense depends on the your sites subject, some topics draw higher paying ads than others and the amount of traffic you draw to your website.

Remember traffic equals revenue. I don't ever place adsense on site until it is averaging at least a 100 hits a day. If you have good content you can expect a click through rate of between 5-8% If your ads are averaging say 50 cents a click you can do the math.

Most important thing of all. Before you place Adsense on a site make sure you read and understand all the rules in Googles terms of service agreement. It is easy to violate them and google will ban you for life from adsense.

Re: Is anyone here an affiliate marketer?

Start a site about a subject you are passionate about like fishing. Provide useful content to readers and then check out related affiliate programs at Linkshare and Commission Junction.

Also signup for a Google Adsense account and put google ads on your site. Remember content is king. Without good content you won't get enough traffic to make the site payoff.

If you are new to blogging, start with blogger.com. It is owned by Google and they make placing the ads and customizing your blog a snap.

It take many months to build traffic to your site, so be patient. Most people quit to soon. You can promote your site discussion boards such as Mylot.com. Find blogs that are relavent to your subject and leave comments with your url. If you write interesting stuff people will want to check out your site.

Re: What's an easy and free way to make money online?

Start with setting up blogs and websites with Google Adsesne accounts. Make sure they are niche sites, don't do a general subject site. If you have ten sites doing $30 a day in adsense you are making decent money.

The key is building traffic and that takes time. You have to spend a lot of time promoting your sites and keeping the content fresh. You can stock an entire website with free articles from a site such as Articlecity.com.

You can write articles and post them for free distribution on AriticleCity. Other people can put your stuff on their blog or webpage but they have to leave your bio and link information intact. This technique can drive an amazing amount of traffic to you.

Check out "The Adsense Code" by Joel Comm for more info.
