FunAdvice Advice from: evilpinkpunkfairy http://www.funadvice.com/my/advice/evilpinkpunkfairy I'm 16, was born in South Africa but moved to the UK when I was pretty young. I'm the youngest in my family by a long way (my bro is 14 yrs older and mi sis 16yrs older) and so I consider myself almost an only child. I'm a pretty free thinking person and pretty philosophical when I'm bored lol. I have quite a few strong opinions but will always try to take into account the counter arguements. I eventually want to be a doctor (pediatrition or surgeon or both =]), next year I will be off to college studing further maths, chemistry, biology and physcology. I've had alot of ups and downs in life and I guess for my age I've been through quite alot. I used to be pretty religious but...not any more lol. I'm a pretty fun loving kinda girl, love partying, shopping, hanging with friends and pretty much everything associated with girls lol. I'm also pretty interested in cars though as I was kinda brought up alot by my brother. My family: My parents divorced when I was 9 but they were practically divorced when I was 4. I live with my mum although I'd rather not as we don't really get on. My brothers in the navy as a helicopter pilot, married with a little 1 year boy and another on the way (due in july/august =]) and my sister doesn't ever want to get married or have kids (was I really that bad?). My dad and sister both live in South Africa so I only get to see them for about 2 weeks (sometimes more) every year =[. Well that's pretty much me, if you want advice I will always try to help but there are certain things I know alot more about than others x en-us Re: Painless intimate hair removal? Seriously DO NOT use Nair!!! Apperently it burns like hell if you use it there and also it stinks and gets on your clothes and doesn't wash out and once you've gone through all of that it doesn't even work! I've tried it on my legs and it was truly awful! You could try Body Shops Sugering stuff...apperently thats good but I don't know if you can use it on "sensitive" body parts. Boots expert stuff is usually pretty good. But to be honest, most hair removal creams don't work so it might be best to put the pain factor behind you and try waxing. I use Nads and that works well as long as the hair is long enough. And I don't actually find it that painful. You could also go to a proffessional salon. They do sugering and stuff like that that aren't painful. Anyway hope this helps x evilpinkpunkfairy Thu, 19 Jun 2008 11:55:27 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/painless_intimate_hair_removal 390281 Re: Is this crabs? Could be a yeast infection or you/she is sexually active(this includes handjobs and blowjobs) then it could be a STI/STD. You/She needs to go to a doctor/gynochologist to get checked out and treated. To be honest it doesn't sound like crabs if there is a weird smell and an abnormal discharge. Although you/she could be mistaking it as abnormal when actually this is perfectly normal and then crabs would account for the itching. But definately get checked out! evilpinkpunkfairy Tue, 17 Jun 2008 11:57:24 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/i_have_no_clue 387153 Re: I have had my period for 14 days now My friend has this regularlily. She just her period every 2 months but when she does it's very heavy and lasts for 2 weeks. Honestly you need to calm down because the stress could be mucking it up even more! You can go to the doctors and get checked out though if you are really worried about it just for peace of mind and insist that someone takes you seriously. But if it does carry on for too long then you will start to experience problems because of loss of nutrients and blood etc. So if it does carry on then you need to get checked out by the doctor with blood tests etc. and prehaps start taking supplements. Hope this helped x evilpinkpunkfairy Tue, 17 Jun 2008 11:40:28 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/i_have_had_my_period_for_14_days 387116 Re: Period is late and I have been getting cramps every day, why? Try a different test product and even if it's negitive go to the doctors appointment just to make sure. evilpinkpunkfairy Tue, 17 Jun 2008 11:34:21 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/unsure_118961 387101 Re: 16 turning 17 and pregnant, what to do? I really like the fact that you don't want an abortion. And if you do think about it then think about the fact that not only will you be killing a human life but abortion can often lead to depression and has horrible side-effects like severe abdominal pains and vommitting for several days in many cases! Adoption is an option (I know you have ruled it out but you should still think about it) that you need to think about carefully. If you place the baby for adoption then at least it will have a financially stable family and you can carry on with your education. However obviously there will always be that guilty feeling, especially if the child decides to try find you, and the child could expericence feelings of being unwanted etc. Think through what you would do if you did keep the baby. How would you support it financially? Look round for jobs and how much they would pay. Remember that babies are pretty expensive things! Is there a way that you can get an education but still support the baby? Look for care options, nursery, childminders and relatives are all worth thinking about and you need to research whether you could pay for childcare and if it would have benifits in the short-term and more importantly, long-term. Could you get help from your parents/relavtives in terms of money and care? I think you really need to talk to your friends and family and talk through these questions and really do some research. Both your friends and family will respect you for taking on the responsiblity of a baby. But you need to accept that although it is important to occasionally go out an have fun, that you cannot rely on relatives to be the babysitter and you will have to make comprimises. I hope this helped and good luck! x evilpinkpunkfairy Tue, 17 Jun 2008 11:32:15 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/16_turning_17_and_pregnant_abort 387095 Re: Why does it itch after I trimmed down there? Try conditioner on it for 5minutes everytime you shower to soften the hairs. evilpinkpunkfairy Tue, 17 Jun 2008 11:17:32 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/why_does_it_itch_after_i_trimed_down 387068 Re: Get pregnant without actually having intercourse If precum or cum touched or was very near the vagine then yes there is a chance but it is quite unlikely. If she misses a period then after about the 6th day of the missed period she needs to take a test. If it is negitive but her period still doesn't come then after another week she needs to take another test. However there is also the posibility of STI/STD's so it would be a good idea to both get checked out for them. evilpinkpunkfairy Tue, 17 Jun 2008 11:06:21 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/get_pregnant_without_actually_having 387050 Re: Spray tans Depends on the spray tan. There are also tanning lotions. I have Johnson's Holiday Skin (the light to normal one) and it is a little on the orange side but it stays a relatively natural colour aslong as you don't apply it more than every other day. Dove Summer Glow is apperently really good but I haven't tried it. I got my best friend L'Oreal Expertise NutriSummer (the normal to dark one) and it looks really natural and gives a good shade but apperently it goes orange if you apply it more than every other day. Apperently the new dry mist spray from Garnier Ambre Solaire is really good and also Garniers BodySummer/SummerBody lotion. Look through the reviews on the link I'm about to give you to see which you like the sound of the most and which fits your budget: http://www.makeupalley.com/product/searching.asp?CategoryID=17&brandname=&Brand=&title=&submit=Find+Products Hope this helped x evilpinkpunkfairy Tue, 17 Jun 2008 10:59:14 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/spray_tans 387036 Re: Waterproof makeup? I use L'Oreal Kohl eyeliner pencil and that doesn't budge even with make-up remover. You could try that? Also it's lasted me 3 years and still going! evilpinkpunkfairy Tue, 17 Jun 2008 10:48:16 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/waterproof_makeup 387014 Re: Shaving down there leaves bumps, how do I avoid them? DO NOT use Nair! It stinks, doesn't work and burns(even the sensitive one). I get this problem too and am now going to try waxing/hair removal creams although I just found some great advice on a different question (sorry if I stole sumbody's advice) and apperently if you use conditioner then it softens the hair and the skin and you are less likely to get ingrown hairs(which are the itchy, red bumps your getting). Also apperently if you shave in the direction the hair grows instead on the opposite way then it doesn't cause ingrown hairs. I have no idea if this actually works because I haven't tried it out yet! But try it! I've tried the shaving cream thing and it didn't work. Do remember to apply a moisturiser to the areas afterwards though. Also if the hair has grown quite long trim it before shaving. If all that doesn't work try alternatives like hair removal cream or waving but only get the sensitive ones and DO NOT get Nair as I said before! Apperently the boots ones are good and also Body Shop do a sugering thing that dissolves the hair and apperently that's good. Look up "hair removal reviews" or something similar on google to try find which products work and which don't. Hope this helped x evilpinkpunkfairy Tue, 17 Jun 2008 10:45:22 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/shaving_10946 387011 Re: DIY hair removal wax? I hear you on the Nair thing! It stinks too! And it didn't even work that great when I tired it on my legs! I've tried Nads on my eyebrows and it did a fairly good job although I don't think the hair was long enough for it to work really well but I shall try it again and let you know. Also on friday I'm going to try it on my pubic hair (I'm having a night out hopefully =] also sorry for being so "personal" and "open" if you feel slightly uncomfortable with it it's just what I'm like lol) and I will let you know how it goes. I have the one aimed at facial hair removal but you can use it anywhere apperently. It's the one with the gel/wax and the fabric removal strips. The thing I really like about it is that you can reuse the strips! But yeah will update you on friday if you like! x evilpinkpunkfairy Tue, 17 Jun 2008 10:34:31 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/diy_hair_removal_wax 386993 Re: Why are girls obsessed with make-up and fashion? Make-up is mostly about insecruties. My best friend won't actually look at people and she will keep her head down if she doesn't have foundation on because she believes she's so ugly without it! I have similar insecurities about my skin and all that and I truly do think that a lot of people, including me, do look a lot better with the right make-up on but they still look good without it. Obsession with fashion can also be insecurities, brand names are very important to a lot of people, a lot of the time it is because they believe they will be/feel superior to people without the designer labels or whatever or it's rich people trying to show that they are rich. Also lets accept this, the real thing(I.e. designer clothing) does always look a lot better. Well I guess that's just my view on it and of course I am being very general and there are exceptions but it does apply to many people. evilpinkpunkfairy Tue, 17 Jun 2008 10:23:44 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/why_are_girls_obsessed_with_this 386983 Re: Natural blonde with dyed brown hair... Wanting to go back to blonde Bleaching can be really damaging to the hair especially the home bleaching/dying kits so I recommend you get it done proffessionally at a hair salon. But it will still probably damage your hair some what. Using a blonde dye will most likely just turn your hair ginger so usually you have to bleach it about twice first and then dye it to the desired colour. evilpinkpunkfairy Tue, 17 Jun 2008 09:52:42 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/natural_blonde_with_dyed_brown_hair 386941 Re: Black layers underneath the blonde I loved Christina Aguilera's hair when she had the blonde hair with the pink tips and underneath and I think the same thing (but with black or dark brown or whatever you want) would look just as great on you! Yeah seriously he won't mind what you wear! But I can understand why you want to look nice for him because I have the same thing when I see my dad =) But yeah that oufit sounds really cool! Just try on different tops with it all and work out which looks best. A white or black top will probably look good because then it's not too busy but just try different things out! Hope you have a great time! x evilpinkpunkfairy Tue, 17 Jun 2008 09:46:24 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/will_this_go_together 386936 Re: Layers or Same Length? I think layering always looks better than a blunt cut although with long hair it's not so noticable. But definately get it done professionally and don't attempt it yourself! Also you could think of getting a bang? I think they always look nice aswell. evilpinkpunkfairy Tue, 17 Jun 2008 09:42:52 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/layers_or_same_lenght 386933 Re: Can I swim with a pad? You can't use a pad! You need to use a tampon! Usually your vagina will close in water but I wouldn't take chances so use a tampon and change it straight away when you get out because it will leak everywhere. Sometimes tampons can hurt. It's best to get one with an applicator because that hurt less. Personally I like tampax compax because they are fairly comfortable to insert and are really discreet. It's best to get a high absorbancy one for swimming because it will soak up the water in the swimming pool as well as your blood! If you want to be a bit taller then wear heels but you'll probably end up taking them off at some point anyway! But still...heels do make your legs look nicer... It's really up to you. Also just try different shoes on with the outfit your thinking of wearing and see what looks good. Hope this helped! If you do want a tan then try fake tanning. It's a lot better for your skin as the sun can do a lot of damage and when you are older, if you have been exposed to the sun a lot in your life, you will have more wrinkles and moles etc. Garnier SummerBody is apperently good and so is the new dry mist, or the moisture milk or the 2-step tan, all from Garniers Ambre Solaire range. Also Dove Summer Glow is apperently good but some find it orange. Personally I find Johnsons Holiday Skin a bit orange but not too bad. Most of them aren't too expensive either! Some people get to the extent that one breast is over 2 cups bigger than the other. If you get really worried by it there are a few things you can do but they are all very expensive. Sugery is obviously one and also some breast enlargement pills also do it or you could get inserts to put in to make them appear equal. Sometimes they will grow even but most of the time everyone will have one breast bigger than the other even if it's only slightly. evilpinkpunkfairy Fri, 06 Jun 2008 06:35:03 -0700 http://www.funadvice.com/q/unequal_breast 373031
