Re: Is it a sin to fantasize about someone?

To covet is to want something that belongs to someone else or that you can't have, it's ok to simply want. Now, you say fantisize, if you mean s x ally then that is adultury, not coveting, and yes, a sin.(Jesus said to even think about it is a sin). If you simply want to spend time with your crush romantically or otherwise, that is ok, assuming they're single, (bible says "covet neighbors wife", engaged or "dating" are not spelled out, though I would tend to include engaged). Likewise, it's okay to want a "thing" as long as it's okay for you to have it and you have the means to purchase it or otherwise aquire it without stealing it.

Re: How many guys like their best girl friends?

I went out with my best friend 4 years ago. We only lasted like 5 months, and we still talk but not the same friendship we had by anymeans. I don't have any feelings for my current best "lady" friend, so I guess you can chalk me up on both sides if you're keeping score.

Re: How can "entity" be used in a sentence?

Say you were to set a business, and all you did was put out a sign and open the doors to your new business, you are a "sole proprietor" and basically you and the business are the same entity, as in people doing business with "ABC Store" are basically doing business with you, personally.

If you open this business as an S Corperation or C Corperation, the business becomes a seperate entity, meaning that business is done with "ABC Inc." and not really with you, you just own it. The reason for doing this is legalities, if the business gets sued, ABC Inc., being a seperate entity, a plaintif can only go after the assets of the Corp. if they win, where ABC Store, you and the store are the same and they can come after your personal assets, ie house, car, savings, etc. Also, being a seperate entity, a Corp. files its own taxes, as if it is it's own person, because it is a seperate entity.

Long explaination but I don't know how else to explain it. I'm sure there is some non-business or non-legal definition, but I'm not sure.

Just a guess here, but try changing font colors. I had that problem, not with my name but with friends names & commets, they weren't missing they just blended in to the background. Just an idea, if it's not a color issue than I don't know.

Re: Is it normal for guys to forget to call?

Generally yes. Details are not a guy thing, at least not the little things. Forgetting to call, though, not always. Maybe he's not interested/lost interest, or maybe he's way to nervous. I've been on both sides, usually not forgotten though. maybe with more info I could answer better, I know I'm being vague.

Re: Will therapy help? this long-term depression?

First, you need to talk to somebody. I know it might be hard to talk to your mom and sis, but haveing been through it once they sould be eager to help someone they love overcome these feelings. I lost my best friend to suicide and, trust me, I take the issue very seriosly.

I've also been down that road myself. I got very depressed when I was 14 or 15, and there was a time in high school when I would stare at a bottle and think about never waking up again.

But, I made a decision not to. They say that suicide is the most selfish thing anyone can do. But I would say that my decision to live was just as selfish. I didn't throw that bottle away for my parents, my family, my friends, I did it for myself. Instead of being mad at myself all the time for the mistakes I made I got mad at this deseise that was robbing me of my happiness, and I made the desision to beat it--for myself.

First, find some help. If your family won't help, find a doctor, if you can't do that, call 800 394 HOPE. It's a free help line specializing in young adults 25 and under. They helped me a lot, I didn't feel like my parents would understand so that's where I found help.

Second, give yourself permission to be selfish. Do what makes YOU happy. Faverate book? Read it. Favorite song? Favorite movie? play it. Over and over again. Do what it takes to get your troubles to take a back seat so you can enjoy youself.

Third, try (this is tough, but I did it) to take on an optimistic veiw on life. If you really try to look for the silver lining on things, I mean really put effert into it, you will find it. You said you lost your job. You will find a new one, and you can look at it as an opportunity to meet some new friends at your new job.

Anyways, just please talk to someone. Like I said I lost a friend to suicide. She left subtle hints and haveing been there i picked up on them, but she would never open up, she kept it all inside, I whould try to talk to her about it but she would just change the subject. It is so important that you reach out to someone.

Re: How do I tell my parents I'm depressed?

First you should know that you are not alone and that many people deal with depression of all levels everyday. I was very depressed in jr high and high school but I learned to deal with it and although I have times of sadness now and then I've leaned to cope and am generally pretty happy.

You should talk to somebody about your feelings. If one of your parents say "how's your day" or "how are you doing", be honest, just say you've not been feeling so great. I'm sure they'll prod for more information and then you can talk about it. If you have a good, close friend you could try to open up to then, although as I remember people your age usually aren't the best at this topic, so unless you have a very understanding friend that might not be the best route. If you have an adult you can confide in, go that route first.

I don't know if you're into writing at all, but I found that very theroputic (sp?) when I was down, actually I still write my feelings out when I'm dealing with something. It may even help to start the conversation with your parents to write them a letter expaining what you're going through.

If none of this seems to work I used to call the hope line 800 394 HOPE. They are trained professionals, completly free, and confidential. They might be able to help you make sence of some of your feelings.

Just try to keep in mind that this will pass and finding some help along the way will make it easier and pass that much sooner. If you hafe any questions or need someone to chat with feel free to fun mail me.

Re: What if I don't know what I want to do with my life?

You shouldn't worry about it too much. I'm 28 years old, and although I love my job, I know it's not permenant so really I still don't know what I want to do with my life. Just take life a day at a time and keep your eyes open to new experiences.

And know that whatever you may choose now, before college, during or after college, nothing is permenant if you don't want it to be. I've know plenty of people who have done an about-face on thier career 10, 20, 30 years into thier career, perfectly happy and no regrets. Just make sure you like (better yet love) what you do, thats worth so much more than any amount of money (as long as the bills are covered!)

Re: Did Jesus actually change the Sabbath day?

Sabbath and worship are two differant things. The sabbath day did not change, you rest on Saturday, the seventh day. We should worship everyday (not being preachy here, I'm certainly no posterchild for daily worship) but church is generally on Sunday, both because of Christs reserection AND you shouldn't work on Saturday.

Re: Did Adam and Eve have belly buttons?

Um, WOW!

Exactly who's interpretation was this?

How about we just read the Bible and believe it for what it says? It's the word of God, He wouldn't lie to you, skew the facts, or tell you a story without clueing you in that it's only a story (Jesus told stories, he made it known.) Doing any of this would make Him a hipocrite and not much of a god.

Monica, the Bible is literal, and Adam and Eve were real, created out of dust and a rib. True, we have all our ribs and are not made from dust, but if not embalmed we do become dust, and only Adam would be missing a rib, if someone has their arm amputated it doesn't meen that thier future children will be missing an arm.

Mhung, I have know idea how anyone can read the Bible (and only the Bible) and interperate what you've said. It seems like you are trying to fit evolution "science" and the Bible to be right at the same time. Fact is, evolution cannot be proven and, I beleive, is absolutly false. True science (knowledge aquired through observation, no-one's observed an animal produce ofspring unlike it's kind) fits with the Bible just fine, no need to "interperate" anything into it.

Now, the original question. Adam and Eve may not have had belly buttons, as they did not need them having not been born. Although, God may have decided to put them there anyways. So the answer is always up to debate, but if forced to answer I would say no because it's more of a scar as a result of birth than a body part.

Re: Guys: what signs to you give off when you like a girl?

I know when I'm with a girl I like I can't stop smileing if I tried. and like said above-eye contact. Also, if you are sitting across from a guy in conversation for awile, look in his eyes, if his puples seem abnormally large for the lighting in the room, this means he likes what he sees (a natural subconscience response)

I don't know if this helps, just figured your question implied you were looking for a guys perspective.

Re: What's the difference between credit card and charge card?

Traditionally, a credit card is revolving credit, meaning your minimum payment is less than your balance and you pay interest on the balance you don't pay. A charge card you pay off the ballance every month. This is an old school definition and nowadays the two terms are used for each other often.

Re: What is the difference between Prepaid credit card and debit card?

The information above is generally correct, so I'll just add that credit cards are only harmfull to your FICO score if they are maxed out, paid late, over the limit, etc. 35% of our FICO score is based on your debt to available credit ratio. So, you can acctually inprove your score (not dramatically, but it helps) by aquireing more credit and not using it. Cut up the cards if you feel you can't resist spending on them. Also, make sure you find cards with no annual fee if you do this. And, your better of with high limits on a few cards than low limits on many cards, as having many cards can hurt your score, somewhat.

Re: Why credit card called so?

Credit and Debit are accounting terms.

When you take a loan from a bank, (by lump sum or through a card at a store) that amount is a "credit" on the banks accounting records because it is an asset account (accounts receivable) to the bank.

Conversly, when you "debit" (spend money through a card agianst a savings/checking account) it's a "debit" on the banks accounting records because it is a liability account (accounts payable) to the bank. ie, the bank owes you this money.

This is where the terms originated.

Of course nowadays when you have an option to choose "debit or credit" at the checkout, you are choosing which service is carring out the transacion, with no reguard to wheather the money is coming from a loan or checking. Credit is the service on the front (Mastercard, Visa, AmEx, Discover, companies that used to deal exclusivly in credit or charge cards) and debit is the service listed on the back of the card on the bottom, of which there are many companies but Cirus is one of the most popular.
