Re: 15, pregnant and proud of it

If he is listed as the baby's father on the birth certificate, the government will put him in jail, whether you or your family want them to or not. That is what happened to my cousin and her boy. He has to register as a sex offender now, and he isn't allowed to see my cousin until she turns 18 and isn't allowed to see the baby without supervision. Just telling you what could happen, not trying to bring your party down, because I'm happy that you are excited! I just don't want you to get hurt. Be careful.

Re: Is this mono?

Symptoms usually begin to appear 4 to 7 weeks after infection with the virus. Signs that you may have mono include:

    * constant fatigue
    * fever
    * sore throat
    * loss of appetite
    * swollen lymph nodes (commonly called glands, located in your neck, underarms, and groin)
    * headaches
    * sore muscles
    * larger-than-normal liver or spleen
    * skin rash
    * abdominal pain

People who have mono may have different combinations of these symptoms, and some may have symptoms so mild that they hardly notice them. Others may have no symptoms at all.

Even if you have several of these symptoms, don't try to diagnose yourself. Always consult your doctor if you have a fever, sore throat, and swollen glands or are unusually tired for no apparent reason.

Because the symptoms of mono are so general and can be signs of other illnesses, it's possible to mistake mononucleosis for the flu, strep throat, or other diseases. In fact, occasionally some people may have mono and strep throat at the same time.

When making a diagnosis, the doctor may want to take some blood tests to see if mono is causing the symptoms. But even if the blood tests indicate mono, there isn't much the doctor can do other than advise a person to drink lots of fluids and get plenty of rest. kidshealth.com Good luck

Re: When will I get my period?

I wouldn't worry too much about it, I got my period when I was 8, but my sister didn't get hers til she was 17. It depends on your body mostly. And you wont necessarily get it when you get boobs, whoever told you that is a lil off. If it doesn't come by the time you're 18, have it looked into, but until then, enjoy not having it, it's a pain in the A$$ when you do get it. God Bless

Re: How do you get past overprotective parents?

Before becoming sexual with your um, "man", consider the consequences. Do you know EXACTLY where that thing has been? Do you know everything about protection? Condoms do break, and pregnancy happens, ask my 32 year old sister with a 17 year old son. If you aren't ready for the consequences, you aren't ready for sex. Besides, sex at your age is not the best idea. When you break up with this guy, and you more than likely will, it will be sooo much harder, especially when you find out he's doing it with another girl. You should wait until you are in a stable relationship, and no relationship at your age is stable. But if you MUST have sex, take all precautions. There really is no way of getting around your parents if they're anything like mine.

Well, sweetie, all you can do is explain to your girl that you want some alone time with her. Make sure that she knows when you will be hanging out with her so she tells her friend before hand. Let her know that you do not like this girl, and explain to her why. That's probably the only way around it. Maybe your girl is just trying to help her. But either way, I hope it works out for you!

How do you thing I became friends with people like that. I tried to understand them. Good luck and I'm sorry if my last answer seemed rude, I really wasn't trying to be. ;)

Re: Runaway or kill myself?

I was in the exact situation that you are in. I still am with the family part. But you can't let them get to you. NOTHING is worth killing yourself, I know because I have tried. I woke up to my 5 month old nephew laying beside me and I realized that I would have missed him growing up had I succeeded. I would have missed planning my dream wedding (trust me, you'll find him) Being pregnant with my own child someday. Making new friends, and showing up the people who told me I'd never make anything of myself. It gets better after high school. I promise you, High school is pretty much as bad as it gets with emotional stress. All you have to do is set a goal and keep telling yourself "that would show them!" that way, it's even better when you reach it! I promise you sweetheart, nobody is worth going to Hell. If you need someone to talk to, funmail me. I have no problem giving you my number or whatever so we can talk. I know how it is being a teen age girl who nobody understands. It'll be okay.

Re: I hate my girlfriend's friend

Ah, high school. The four years of Hell where nobody likes each other unless they act, dress, and talk a certain way. Glad to be away from that! Do you not get that the way you look at this girl is the same way you accuse her of looking at you? Cliques are a waste of time, they make absolutely NO difference after high school, they only open the door for high school kids to hate each other. I was "The Prep" for a while, but I just got sick of it. By the end of high school, I was friends with everyone, and had a WAY better time that way. If you don't want to hang out with this girl because she isn't in your clique, then don't. But your girl can hang out with whomever she wants to, there is nothing you can do about it. I have been with my husband since the 9th grade, and we both have always had friends that the other couldn't stand, but I hang out with my friends and he hangs out with his. This has saved us a whole lot of fighting over stupid things. And I suggest that if you don't want to start a potentially relationship-ending fight with your girl, let her have her own friends.

Re: Purity ring

Nothing but break your father's heart. My friends father gave her a purity ring, and she broke that promise and ended up pregnant, though she swore she was careful. Her father refused to help her out in any way and they don't speak to this day. My family took my friend in, and I ended up watching the baby while she went out. It's not a bad idea to remain a virgin for a while, at least until you are mature enough to deal with the consequences. Just remember, condoms break and birth control sometimes fails. Stay a kid for a while, having to worry every month when your period is a week late, going to spend $15 on a test just to start the next day. False positives on the tests, worrying about STD's, is not something a kid you age should have to deal with. Don't ruin your childhood, because, trust me, you will miss it. Relationships end, boys cheat on you, you have more and more responsibilities, and it only gets worse as you get older. I'm not saying there aren't good things too, but you will wish you could go back and re-do everything. Don't give up your teen years just because you heard sex was fun. It's not worth it at all!

But if you must have sex, be very careful, because you can never be sure where that thing has been, no matter what he tells you. And no matter how cute that baby was in the mall the other day, a screaming baby with an ear infection that just puked all over your new shirt isn't something you need. Good luck Girl.

I think you should have thought about this before now. It's a little late to talk to her now. And I doubt she would listen anyway, not because she doesn't care what you say, but because she probably really wants this baby. The best thing you can do is support her no matter what she does (whether you like it or not) and be there to catch her when she falls. Let her live and make mistakes on her own. I know how you feel and sometimes I have to bite my tongue to keep my opinion to myself but, it's more than likely for the best. If she was doing something dangerous or if she were younger, THAT would be a WHOLE DIFFERENT STORY. But she's a adult. Good luck.

Re: I'm pregnant and 13

First of all, having sex at your age doesn't seem like a good idea anymore does it? This is something you should have thought about before you had sex. Next, you have to tell your parents. There really is no way around it. You have two options. Abortion-but I don't suggest that. you need to read up on what they do to your baby when you choose that option go to www.lifesitenews.com/abortiontypes/ and read up. And adoption-which is a better choice because there are about 42 million abortions every year, while twice that many people who cannot have children (like me) have to wait as long as three years to adopt a baby. I would love to adopt a baby, and I plan to as soon as the waiting list is shorter. Look at it this way

     Adoption

    * Your pregnancy ends with giving life
    * You may feel good and positive about your choice
    * You will remember giving birth
    * You will have plenty of time to plan your and your baby's future
    * You can hold, name, and love your baby
    * You can have continued contact with your child

     Abortion

    * Your pregnancy ends with death
    * You may feel guilt and shame about your choice
    * You will remember taking a life
    * Abortion is final; you can’t reverse your decision
    * You will never know or treasure your baby
    * You will miss the opportunity to see your child develop

Good luck. Funmail me, I'm here if you need to talk...

Do you know, HONESTLY KNOW EXACTLY where that pen*s has been? If the answer is NO then DO NOT have sex without a condom. He's an A$$ to even suggest sex without a condom, because it is very dangerous. angelfire is right, if he does have ANY STD, you will have it too. And STD's can show no symptom for up to 5 years and still be doing damage to your body. Be a big girl and tell him that if he doesn't respect you enough to use a condom and keep you safe from those things, he isn't mature enough to have sex with you...PERIOD!
