Re: When should my friend start shopping for her baby?

Well I understand Us superstitious folk wont start until after the 5th month at least but safely the 6th month. But I agree I live in a nice area and the resale shops around here have a very nice selection, not to mention both of my kids only stayed in there 0-3month clothes 0-3 months or less. some no use at all.

Re: How to wear my makeup when my husband comes home?

Coming from an army wife- if you ever sent him a picture that he is really in love with ie. maybe he keeps it in his wallet or looks at it at night on guard duty, you may want to look like that or what ever he thinks is your best. Because he wont care if its a "trash bag" like she said, he probably wont even notice, My husband came home from Iraq after 15months and I wore tight jeans , a fitted turtleneck, and high heeled boots, and I did my hair how I know he likes it, He loveddd it. TRUST, he is going to love whatever has you in it!

Re: Average monthly cost of living?

Whooa you make 40K, live at home and have a prego. girlfriend? Get out already if you want to move!move! what are you waiting on, to be put out on the street again. Doesnt she have a jobe too, Im sure you can make it. and yes it does depend on your location a lot. you dont want to move too fast but you want a 4brm house and everything that makes you life comfortable, how about you try out an apartment first so you wont have to go"crawling back" build up some credit and savings and then try buying a house. Because I just tried to help torikeene and let me tell you in HOuston I CANNOT make it nowhere on 20K, We have a 3bdrm and make around 50K and thats just paying everything we owe, and food and gas and your going to have a baby--- you got to think of things you wont even think of until after the baby is here slow down, and think about it, get with her and make a plan. Im sure it will come together.

Re: How do you apply for a loan if you have no credit?

Well first, Im not sure if your mortgage would be that different if you are trying to own your own home, but maybe thats dependent on your location, But you should be able to take advantage of many low income opportunities for home ownership, as well as low($500 or less) money to NO money down and lots of assistant with the purchase itself and HUD homes and Habitat homes. There are several options- depending on where you live. I know for a fact these options are available in Houston
