Re: Want to legally divorce mother

I don't think a restraining order was exactly what you were looking for but I don't think there is a spacific way to get what you're wanting. If you talk to a lawyer you might be able to find something better. If you do go with the restraining order though it'll be on her record that she has a restraining order on her and that would be something people could look at. ...

Re: Doctors, Payment & Possibly Pregnant

I'm not for telling the parents of a person in your situation but I do think it might help the person if they're thinking about aborting the baby. My mom was pregnet with me at 16 and almost did that and is glad she didn't. I think that a person in your shoes has every right to privacy about the situation. ... But if I had a friend going throught the same thing and leaning towards abortion I would do anything to try and save that babys life because I know that the guilt will leave at least two lives toarn. ... There are other options that can help people who can't have children. ... ... ... If you are pregnant whatever you do it'll be hard but PLEASE ! don't just choose what seems to be the easy way out.

Re: If you weren't your current religion, which one would you be?

I am so glad I was born into a religion that I can believe for myself. Each person if they were to wake up and come to terms with theirselves they would know why they're in the church they're in. In my church there isn't a lot of room luke-warm people so it's usually either in or out. Not because of other people for the most part but just that if you arn't in it for you, you'll find it hard to live there. I had a time when I was a teenager living in my parents house where I was only in the church because I couldn't leave. That didn't last long, I was forced to pray at the alter and do or not do other things according to how my parents thought I should be saved and safe. Of course now I do agree with their ends but not their means. I had to choose for myself what I believed and thank God that I had it so easy because I was in a church that had the truth (sadly there's some that don't). ... If you always have a pure heart and keep trying to get closer to him at all times he will lead you the right way (though you may not like it and it wont be easy). God places people in churches if they are truly searving him, not the other way around. ... Check out the book of Acts for some interesting reading; Acts 2

Re: Religion should be spontaneous?

  1 John 1:6 & 7
   6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
   7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

It says right there in the bible ... I mean you can't argue with that ...

Re: Has anyone had a dream while sleeping that actually came true?

I know what you guys are talking about and know that it's a deja vu; what I can't understand is why I have them. I've never been able to remember one longer than a few minuets after I wake up until the point in time where they come true. Another weird thing that happens with me is that it seems to happen More around specific people. There are two people that I know and as soon as I got around them I had two of the biggest deja vus of my life. I was almost predicting things and I was remembering what I was thinking and saying and what other people were saying just like a second before it happened. I know it sounds crazy and I've tried to convince myself that it didn't happen because I couldn't prove it to anyone because nothing that happened was important and I couldn't prove that I knew it was going to happen because as soon as I remembered it; it happened. The two people that I talked about is one of my best friends and his mom. I don't know if there is anything special about them but my deja vus lasted up to 15 to 20 seconds around them and it happened more often than when I had them anywhere else.

Re: What religion should I convert to?

I'm Pentecostal ... UPC to be exact (United Pentecostal Church) ... I hate saying that UPC is the only way to go but it is the closest to the bible. One of the most important things that they have is standards... at least in our church they try not to pass jugment on people who don't meet the 'standards' which can be an ugly word if used wrong.

1 Peter 2:9
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

We are to be set apart from people who don't believe the same way or do not have the Holy Ghost - anouther thing that we believe in that's in the bible that lots of religions omit or dance around and say it's not nessasary ... ... ... I'm not saying that you need to find a UPC church or not to go to any other church but you need to do your research and find a church that follows the 3 steps of salvation that's layed out in Acts 2:38 and has standards

Acts 2:38
            Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
                               That is not the only time it is mentioned but is the only plan of salviation in the Bible

If you have any more questions for me specifically send me some mail about it ...

Re: Abortion and the Death penalty

I am totally apposed to abortion and have a questionable stance against the death penalty ... by the worlds moral standards the person who killed someone deserves to die. By Gods standards everyone deserves us to give them another chance no matter how many others they’ve had. So if the death penalty would to be uninstalled then we would have a lot bigger prisons because I might give that person another chance but would not want them out on the streets. … Abortion is wrong by both standards - world and God - as of a few years ago. Now there are people that are trying to say that because it’s a ‘fetus’ that it’s not a human being and it’s not murder to kill it. Even if it wasn’t abortion is the killing of a possibility. My mother had me when she was 16 and is glad she did … She admits that abortion crossed her mind but we’re both glad she didn’t. How different her life would have been? Yes anyone who has a child that young is going to have troubles and no even in other troubles babies don’t come at the ‘IDEAL’ times but that is no reason to commit murder … People have just sugar coated it for so long to make the few people who got them feel better now there are all these people thinking it’s okay when sadly it’s not

Re: What is Pentecostal Christianity?

Pentecostals are a group of people who embrace the second chapter of the book of Acts in which is given the only plan for the worlds salvation. 36Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

                Acts 2:37-39
   37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, WHAT SHALL WE DO?

   38 Then Peter said unto them, REPENT, and BE BAPTIZED every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and YE SHALL RECIEVE the gift of the Holy Ghost.

   39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call.

I did go through and capitalize some of the words to make them stand out because they're the plan of salvation which I live by. Recieveing the Holy Ghost is a life changing experiance and I can speak from experiance. I go to a UPC church (United Pentecostal Church) and have witnessed the power of God through their services. A lot of people want to catagorize us as extreamest and holy rolers because we believe to a further extent than most other denominations that I know.

                    Acts 2:12-17
   12 And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?

   13 Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.

   14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:

   15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.

   16  But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;

   17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

That covers why we act the way we do when we worship and pray in the Spirit it's what happens when someone gets near enough to him ... It's biblical. The prophecy that was talked about in that verse is still being fulfilled today "saith God, 'I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh" ... and yes this is the end times ... If you can't bring yourself to believe me then check out this link ... http://www.endtime.com/Videos2.aspx ... once you get there check out the one 2 billion to die. You might find the title a bit much but the info is amazing

Another thing that I wanted to tell you about is why we do specific things different
                Example: Dress
   1 Peter 2:9
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

Peculiar = uncharacteristic = different ... we are to be set apart as those who are believers of God than those who aren't ... That's why we do and don't do a lot of stuff. ...
                                    … I know what I’ve said is a little much but I’ve wanted to post a question about this subject just to see what people would say then I would get to come in and explain how I feel.

It's definetly better to just play it safe and be sure you couldn't posibaly get pregnant but sence you've already passed the point where that will help just get into the mindset of having a baby ... YOU WILL FREAK OUT ... if you are pregnant then you will be more prepaired when you find out 4 sure ... if you're not than you have motivation to be more careful next time ... ... I also want to add one more thing to what I have to say ... PLEASE don't get an abortion if you do wind up getting pregnant. My mom was 16 when she had me and did consider getting one for a wile but decided against it ... Yes she had financial trouble but she got through it and did go on to finish high school, go through the airforce, and then go to get her degree from collage. It will totaly alter your life but will not ruin it. ... My mom would have regreted it every day of her life if she went through with what she had thought about

Re: Is cutting addictive?

This person shimmy doesn't know what he's talking about ... I almost got sucked into it when I was younger and am glad that I had someone who had to fight with it seriously and won there to tell me how wrong it was ... The bible says

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

   19What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

   20For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

That's basically saying that You are the property and - if you have the Holy Ghost - the temple of God ... It's like going and carving on a church pew or going and keying the pastors car only with cutting it's not the pastor or just God who has to forgive you for doing this to yourself ... You will have a really hard life that can sput from this one - very serious - thing ... If you've ever heard of a "gateway drug" then you know what I'm talking about when I'm saying that cutting could be a "gateway action" it can and will lead to actions and things that you couldn't believe and never wanted to do. ... Please stop and get help if you can't do it by yourself ... I'm not pushing religion on anyone but a good church that has the power of God - there are a lot who don't have enough - can really help anyone but especally if they're dealing with an addiction.

I have a dog that I love to death but is EXTREAMLY shy ... it took him 2 years to warm up to me and if I gave him away he would probbaly never get over it ... I'm serious ... but he was an exception because he was raised in a dog kennel out in the country by a dog breader who he only say every other day for the first year of his life ... If your dog needs to and can get to someone else who can care for him better than you are not wrong in doing it.

Re: Is Flyleaf a Christian band?

I was downloading Christian songs off of limewire to kind of add to my archive of music because after listening to some songs for so long - no matter how good they are - they all start to sound the same. I had heard that Flyleaf was a Christian band but I had also heard that they were a "non"-Christian band. When I did a search for it I stumbled across this discussion and read along ... There has been a lot of thought put into this – that’s for sure - and I just wanted to put in what I know and think ... It does matter if a band is "Christian" or not to the Christians who are serious enough to read into it deep enough. If a Christian person writes a song and lets a secular band play it what kind of effect will it put on someone spiritually? Of course some people will roll their eyes at me when I say that but it is something that a serious Christian should be concerned about. Yes the lyrics are the most important part but what if the band is just trying to be deceptive and get more attention by being appealing to the Christian music people and everyone else who might have a problem with that kind of music. Think about it, all of you people have spent so much time and thought on whether this band is Christian or not you now couldn't forget their name if you tried ... or people who were undecided before are now encouraged to find out for themselves ... so now everyone listens to it for one reason or another ... WOW ... THAT'S AMAZING ADVERTIZING ... What if Flyleaf is trying to stand on both sides of the fence so they can be popular with more than one crowd?

Revelation 3:16
15: I know your [record of] works and what you are doing; you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were cold or hot!
16: So, because you are lukewarm and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of My mouth!

If they are Christian then they can't argue with that ... that is Gods word saying that he’d rather have you one way or the other than undecided because it makes him sick and want to spit you up out of Him ... ...

I have found out nothing about Flyleaf except that they might be a group that could help me along with my Christian walk. I don't go around and listen to choir music all the time but I do try to think, "will this help or hurt?" ... When someone sits down and thinks about it that's the only two things that anything can do with your walk with God. It's like standing on an icy hill ... you can either work forward and carry things that can help your climb or you can load yourself down with things that will either directly hinder your accent or will accumulate and slow you down to a stop then a backslide... I'm not saying that listening to a non-Christian group will make you backslidden but several choices like that or a mindset saying that it's ok will. ... ... I'd like to say one more thing to the person who said that they had gone to church for a long time, was a youth leader, and went to Bible collage for a while... May God help you ... I know He extends His mercy and grace to the ill-informed but you know what's right and I hope you have time to get your act together. There may be flaws in you, in people around you, in your pastor, in your church, and maybe even in your denomination but God Himself never has a flaw... ... ... ... I am part of a denomination that some people call "radical" because we have standards and forms of worship that other people see as to much. When I am talking to any of my friends that don't believe the same way I do about God and church I always tell them that they have to always take the next step to get closer to Him. When it comes down to it they probably know what they should or should stop doing in order to get closer to Him but are reluctant to take that step because it might be inconvenient to there flesh so they ignore it. ... Lots of people go through life with the label (CHRISTIAN) but never follow the word of God to a depth that a person who has been apart of it their entire life should. They can be as far away from God as the worst person imaginable and have it worse off because they don't even know it. … Sorry I know I’m long winded, I hope this helps somebody.
