Your favorite artist?

What makes you like your favorite rapper or singer? What about them and there music that makes you go buy there cd?

I go for melody mostly. Interesting and creative style. Music is something abstract and you can never put into words the sounds that resonate with you. I seek out lyrics that mean something to me. Usually I find the artists that I like have both music and lyrics that appeal to me.

As far as rap, I don't like much of the mainstream stuff today. I liked it much better when I was younger, Boys N' the Hood, N.W.A. I'm Bad, L.L. Cool J. It's Tricky, RunDMC. It had something new rap doesn't. I can't tell you what, but it's not as appealing to me. Are there any new rappers with a throwback sound?

a whole lotta rap artists, and whole lotta raggaeton, r&b, rapcore, nu metal, and soul artists.

Artists grab my attention by their beat. If I can move to it I'll defintley like it. It also determines my mood. If I'm feeling like I want to move raggeton, and some pop usually get me. Artists get's me by their wittiness, and swag like rap. If I'm feeling like I'm in a peaceful mood I like soundscapes, and SOUL Music like that feels empowering.

If I can relate to what my favorite artist is about I'm defintley tuned into them.
