Writers block >.<

Purple hair Asked by mitnaoama 6 months ago, 5 answers.

Waah, I have like 3 unfinished stories, and I made myself stuck on them XD

Soo, I want to start another story, except I don't know what to make of it. I want more of a fantasy story: tragic, love, hope, adventures, lies, etc, in that catagory

You...

know, stuff that isn't real but you wish it was. Like the absolute true...vampire? Boyfriend lol

So can anyone help me get rid of this writers block, and give me a topic to start of with? Or the concept?

Hmmm I have never been much of a writer other then in college for essays lol but I would say go with a crazy story regarding some foreign man mysterious who turns out to be some vampire or something if you are stuck on that concept, you know what im talkin about the guy who speaks like 3 crazy romantic languages and no one knows who he really is but turns out to be the serial killer in some city a little bit away.
I dont know just an idea

A person who has gone truly insane with pain. A person who has lost their love and realizes that there is no hope left. Then this person finds some kind of spiritual side to them that they knew before. Then just this kind of realization leads to a higher self of self-awareness and the person become almost more than human... or just write from the heart... lol.

Well that happens to me too. If I stick with one story too long before finishing it, it just gets old and boring.
Know that a sad story is what people remember most.
Topics...
Think of what you absolutely love, and also write about what you know.
If you don't feel it or believe it is good delete it!
Think of 2 things:
A main character.
Their problem. Start with these two and build up a life around them.

If nothing comes to mind write randomly ever tiny idea you can think of.
And from a small idea you might get a bigger idea.
The weirder more unique it is the better it will be!
The details are what make an amazing book, versus a good book.
Don't make your characters generic!
If you have twins in a book make their personalities different.
Maybe they dyed their hair- one blonde and the other black,
so people don't confuse them so much.
And don't make all 'families' alike.
For example your main character, 'Johnny's' family is white and he has one older sister.
She's a snob. His dad is really strict and his mom I s really nice. She loves to cook.
Make his best friend's family different from that.
Say Johnny's best friend's name is Alex.
Alex's dad could be really nice, and that would add so much more to the story. Maybe you want to build a theme off of Johnny's dad's strictness? Make his dad more complicated so he overworks Johnny with chores, and has anger problems. And then Johnny could go to Alex's house as a refuge because his dad is nice.
There is so much you can do with just one tiny detail.
