Would you recognize an angel when you see one?

I was just wondering ... in the Bible.. about people running by angels and not recognizing them as an angel...

like when Abraham was sitiing and he saw three men walk toward him and I think God was among them...he sent those two angels down to sodom and...

gomorrah to destroy them and they looked like normal people stayed in Lot's house...even the people there mistakened them for being men they even wanted to have sex with them...

Also when Mary went to see Jesus's body in his tomb she saw two men she didnt recognize them as angels till after...

In the Book of Enoch In the times before the flood angels were called Watchers...like they were God's spies or something..they were suppose to watch us...so aren't you supposed to blend in if your a spy?

Which comes to my other question...why would God need one?

I'm just trying to make sense of a book I read that says angels are among us you just don't know it.

I mean have you ever had an experience where you needed help and there was NO WAY you could have gotten out of that then suddenly a man,a woman,or a little girl shows up and helps you in the most normal way but when you turn around their gone?

no, why has that happened to you, cause if it has ill be a stronger believer

First of all why would you need to recognize them? Angels are ministering spirits who do their work. As long as you don't present a bad behavior to anyone you need not bother about recognizing angels. They will do their duty and go their way.

Your next question is not relevant because the angels are not spies.

About the kind of experiences you are talking about I have none. But many do claim to have such experience. Famous personalities like Mother Theresa has had plenty of such experiences.

lol. maybe your just worried that people are wathcing you do bad things, and thats why you hope no angels are spying on your bad behavior??? lol

I've never had an experience as such. remember, if there are angles roaming the world, then there are also fallen angels roaming the world aswell, blending in society. for if you remember, this is their world too. this is their kingdom for now.

but I wouldnt count on it, if they roamed around for fun.

You are right. There are fallen Angels also roaming around. I do believe that Angels are around us. They have their appointed works. But I do not believe that they are spies as the Lord Himself has his eyes fixed on us.
