Worms!

Argh okay 2 questions:
1. What happens if you don't treat worms? I think I've got them but I don't want to tell my mom, becuase last time she told everyone in the family and they were all like 'Euurrrgghhh thats disgusting!' And also, I had them about...

294856071234663 times over the past two years so she'll be angry at me!
2. What causes worms? Mom told me it was something to do with having unclean fingernails, but my nails are pretty clean. In fact, theres no dirt underneath them!

They also make your butt itchy which is annoying. What should I do?
