Will i go to hell?

I'm an Anglican Christian and I'm scared about this. If I use a swear word or use God or Lord Jesus Christ's name in vain will I go to hell?

haha hell no! lol every1 does it,god will 4give us for making mistakes. I always say effin instead of F*cking.

Nobody knows if Hell even EXISTS... so how could anyone know if you're going there? You'll get no real answers here, only speculation.

Besides, don't you know enough about your own religion, to know the 'religious opinion' on the matter?

Will you go to hell? I don't know, but I can say this, if your bible is right then you might unless your God forgives you like your book says he does, when you ask for it anyway.

The Christian faith was developed around the concept of forgiveness. It is my personal belief that if I ask God for forgiveness and try to stay on the path I will not go to Hell. You can chose your own belief. That is what's so great about Christianity and the Bible (and the US for that matter and other free countries) Everything is open to interprutation and there are so many different ways you can go about doing it. Many Christians (such as myself) do not follow one set of organized religion. There are parts I believe to be true and other parts I have problems with. Explore your faith and religion!

It he forgives murderers, then I'm sure he'll forgive someone who uses his name in vain.

hell does not exist.

it is more of hellish ordeals. if even that.

if you believe you deserve to suffer, then you will suffer in the afterlife and those lives to come.
if you forgive yourself and think you deserve eternal happiness, you will not have to deal with those hellish ordeals.

no one can tell you what you deserve, only you can do that.
you shouldnt believe in anyone but yourself.

No, the only sin to send you to hell, is the sin of denying Jesus Christ and not accepting him as your Saviour. Once you accept him, all sins of future, past, and present are forgiven.

No you will not go to hell =( the only way you are going to hell is if you havent accepted Jesus in your heart and if you sin against God you will, but using swear words are like... people see them as bad, matbe even evil and the bible tells us to stay away from the evils of the world. and saying God's name in vain isnt right. but yeah

Thou shalt not swear means you probably should not say things like; I swear ill will never do this again, or that again. . . etc. why not? because when you swear you are not going to do this or that, I believe, is a form of spiritual pride. Who but God knows what you are or are not going to do? If you want to quit smoking, you ask for Gods help. You dont just say RICK SAYS THOU SHALT NOT SMOKE, lol. You see?

Also, pay attention to the Gospel, it is what matters. read the words in red, what Jesus says, because he speaks in absolute truths. God is perfect and infinite. He created man with free will and we chose to be sperate. God loved us so much he gave us a way back to him.

Jesus completes the circle. So we have a chance to be with our creator. To be seen as good through him. wazed clean because Jesus took on the sins of this world from adam till the end of time, so that we made be seen sinless in the eyes of our Father, and all we have to do is believe this.

No you won't you just can't say his name in vain steady on and on and on and on and on constantly you know and you have to ask for forgivness you only call his name when you really need it. no your not going to hell but if your heart is pure and you believe in god then you don't have to worry about it just don't say his name constantly and don't keep swearing those are strikes against you

ask for forgiveness and pray to him he will sooner or later answer your prayers oh and btw HELL does exist read the bible it perfectly tells you

how do you guys know that there's no hell? it was stated in the bible like a lot of times. there is hell and there is heaven. I don't know if you're saved. all I know is ask God for His forgiveness and ask Him as your saviour. but ask Him like you really mean it. never ask people here in funadvice about getting save because they'll just say things and they don't even have a proof. ask you're pastor or any sunday school teachers in your church.
