if click on the windows icon and scroll down to connect to there will be choices for available wireless networks. make sure the wifi card is turned on. Normally that can be found at the bottom left front. Then scroll down to where it says set up connection or network click on that. scroll down to manually connect there should be like a default click on that and windows will do the rest .

if you don't have a wifi card, it won't work. That's the device that reads the wireless signal.

wi fi enabled laptops dont require cards as far as I am concerned...
all you have to do is either switch the botton on and try to search an icon on the right side of the window.
if you see a blootooth icon which is usually B written in blue, click once there and see what you get. if you have to send or recieve files choose accordingly..
for internet connection, call your operator and ask for the settings on your laptop according to the device through which you will be using the internet sevices..
after that click on the the blue B icon and choose the option 'bluetooth devices' and let the computer search for the device. once it is detected.. you can click on the device and then your computer will send a confirmation query on the device itself..accept the permission and then access..!
simple...
take care dear and happy surfing.
