How to lose some of my butt?

I'm 13 years old 5'5 and weigh about 115 pounds and absoloutly HATE my butt.
It would deffinately be classified as wide. I do a ton of pilate workouts,especially squats, with my legs at least 4 or 5 times a week. I even play club volleyball and we do...

a TON of sprints and running but I still cant seem to lose my butt. As of now, I wouldnt even care if I had NO butt, anything but this wide one.

dood...doing squats would make your butt BIGGER!
if yo want to lose it, then lose weight...but dont
exercise your legs or butt. =]

Catiegirl172. Do anything but DON'T LOSE WEIGHT! You're 5'5 and 115 lbs. You are NOT over weight so weight is not your answer. Does your Mom or Aunts have the curves? It's probably just genetic. If you were to be over weight, losing weight will make it smaller but the fact that you're in good shape, I'm afraid there is nothing you can do about it.

Look at it like it's a blessing! It makes you, YOU! Because you're only 13, you still have a lot of growing to do. Maybe your butt is just growing first. You will get taller so maybe it'll balance things out later. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Be thankful for what you have because some girls are probably wishing they were as curvy as you are. Some boys do prefer to have curvy girls if that's what you're worried about.

I just wanted to say your BMI is 19.1, the lower end of normal.
wide bum/hips can run in families.
unfortunatly I have that too.
hips bones can't be made smaller...it sucks.

If you want to lose weight eat right, no intense physical exercise, and if you like you can also walk for one hour every now and then, but a GENTLE walk. The gentler the exercice the more weight you lose in relation to the effort made, and sometimes intense exercise does make you bigger anyway.

When you have a gentle physical activity your body uses the fat stored in your fat cells to get the energy, whereas if you exercise too intensely it will get its energy from what you've just eaten, and at the end of the exercise you'll just be starving, with the same fat on your legs and bum, but you will just eat some more calories that you won't use.
Also, know that to optimize the exercise it's good to rest on the day after, as it will allow your muscles to actually grow.
Also, the more you exercise, the more you need to exercise to achieve the same results. So let go and relax !

Maybe take up some physical activity you like, it doesn't have to make your butt or legs work a lot, but it will make you burn a bit of calories and will keep you healthy and aware of your body, but in a good way... Sometimes having a positive image of oneself can break a lot of negative circles...
If you have a garden for example, you can do poi spinning ; dance, do nice stuff that you enjoy doing and that will make you proud of yourself and make you think of something else than your complexes...
