Im originally from irvine ca and I've lived all over the us my whole life its driving me crazy he treats me this way he treats me good don't get me wrong but he talks to me like a child and I've tried talking to him about it and he just doesn't get. Someone please explain to me how a man who is so worldly can be so ignorant at the same time? Hes amazing and highly intelligent and funny but it really seems like hes settling for me and nothing about that feels right at all. Though he says he loves me so much it hurts should I break up with him? And how?

I dont think you should break up with him unless you feel no feelings twoards this man or you feel it could possibly turn into an abusive realtionship. I would suggest talking to him and try to have him understand that what he says/does is hurtful to you.

Sometimes it's crazy how someone with an amazing personality can have such a nerve wracking site. Relationships need effort, it really needs to be a 50/50 type situation or it simply will-not work out. If he's made no effort to fix this then he doesn't care about it enough which is a problem.
What someone says and how they show it aren't the same thing, words are nothing about actions and but not listening to you about this isn't showing his 'love' very well.
I suggest you bring this up to him that you want him to make an effort and if he's just going to ignore you it might be time to move on.
