Why did kurt cobain commit suicide?

During the last years of his life, Cobain struggled with drug addiction and the media pressures surrounding him and his wife, Courtney Love. On April 8, 1994, Cobain was found dead in his home in Seattle, the victim of what was officially ruled a self-inflicted shotgun wound to the head. In ensuing years, the circumstances of his death became a topic of fascination and debate.

Indeed, suicide is NEVER the answer !!

there is some debate on weather he did take his own life if so very very sad he was very talented bloke is just that the fame got to him he hated it but being a over night star he couldnt handle the fame I dont think anyone could and his way was to do what he did

He didn't. Courtney Love had him murdered.

He led a lifestyle which put himself on the road to destruction.

he didn't commit suicide there is much evidence that leads to that including 2 different suicide notes with 2 different handwritings including kurts which had nothing about suicide written in there.and a hitman told media and courtney loves former detedtive that courtney came to him and told him to kill kurt becuase he was turning into an A hole and because they where going to get a divorce and she wanted the money becuase she was going to get taken out of his will

He didn't. In my opinion if he never met courtney love he would be still living.
I recommend the book love death:kurt cobain' by joe wallace I believe. I read this and trust me,there is so much more evidence leading to murder.
if you don't want to read the book here are some facts.
-The detectives did not look at the finger prints on the gun. They automaticly resulted ad assumed it was suicide.
-A man (I forget his name) was killed a week after bailing on courtney love to kill Kurt.
-Kurt loved his newly born daughter frances bean. He was obsessed with her.
-Courtney Love was arrested and sent to the hospital bc of an anonymous 911 call for 'drug overdose' the day before Kurt was found dead. The arrest was false,along with that, the hospitalization was unneeded,she was fine.
-Courtney told media days after he was found dead,that 'something good would come out of his death...' and coincidently in the same interview,she threw in that her band Hole's CD was coming out a week or so later. Publicity Stunt?
-Kurt was killed by a shotgun. If you aren't firmiliar with how big those are. It is nearly impossible for someone to kill themselves with it. And impossible for a 5'3'' man (Kurt's height) expecially. The only way he could've pulled the trigger is by his toe. . he had shoes on.

People believe Kurt killed himself because of the heroin in his blood. That is incorrect. Doctors said that with that much heroin, three times the normal amount, actually, he wouldn't be able to stand up, let alone pull a trigger.

1. kurt loved frances bean, as soon as she was born he suddenly was overjoyed.
2. it is said that courtney and kurt were going to get a divorce that fall, so courtney may have killed him to get his money before they divorced. (she got it, all right... for more drugs! she should give all the money to frances. frances is a blood-relative and she needs to have money for college!)
3. I read somewhere on the internet (and the website owners were kurt cobain's neighbors) and they had talked to him April 4, the day before he supposedly shot himself. he was all happy and he said he was going to leave town because he wanted to get away from courtney because she was being a b*tch about the whole divorce issue. he had planned to go fishing with his grandpa the next week at the Great Lakes. Also he was going to New York to record an album with some other artist (I forget who). So think about it... why would he kill himself if he made those plans?
4. kurt's ashes were recently stolen from courtney. she didn't have them hidden very well either. they were in a stuffed teddy bear and it was hooked to a coat hanger near the door to exit her house in los angeles... now if that was my dead husband's ashes I would have locked his ashes in a well-secured safe that was hidden like in the wall or somewhere. I dont think she really cared about him that much if they were put in such an obvious place.
