I think your num lock is on...
what you have to do is look for a key which looks says "num lk"
now.. press "Fn" and press this "num lk" key
your typing should be fine then...

you could tape down the FN button, lol. and yeah I agree maybe the NUMBER LOCK button is on.

when I type I have to hold down this button that says fn, this is me typing w.o holding down the button...5t 14st 352e sh6ws 4* as n40bers... it'sa really weird and it's getting annoying having to hold down. is there any way to fix it??
