Why is there racists?

People used to love each other for who they were actually in a bit back days and respects others nomatter what but everything is like all changed. Some people hate this kind of religions, or skin color, or how we look like, and so on. I mean I just want to know how will I stop these..I know I may never but I want to explain to people I know. One girl hate the Muslim girl and hurt because of her religion. So much haters nowadays. I really do need a lot of help. Thanks God I ain't a racists or anything like that. I'm Muslim and when I go somewhere that isn't my place, everyone takes something wrong about my religion so I'm just sick of it. Thanks everyone.

racism has alway's been around, alway's will be. people fear what is different or what they do not understand, there is no changing that. im not a racists, color does not bother me, and I hate all religions equally, lol. na, hate's to strong a word. but I don't like any of em, but I don't target one impeticular

If you don't like religions, that's a bit racists too because you just don't like the religions of your own or for others.

"people used to love each other" when did people used to love each other? prejudice basically dates back to forever... things are better today, even though it still sucks... cant get rid of it, people stick to their own and shun others. It is just the way it is... it simply depends on how you define your own...

and not liking religion is not racist... racism is prejudice against another race. Dislike of the institution of religion is not prejudice... and why are you assuming the person has a religion? it's a little narrow minded to assume everyone must have a religion

People are stupid and instead of learning about different cultures or religions they would rather stereotype them. This makes them hate different people. Don't worry yourself over what other people think of you, you will NEVER change their mind. As long as you are happy with yourself and your religion, don't sweat what other people think. Stay true to you. And don't bother trying to change anyone else, some people are too ignorant to understand what is different.

Yea I agree with you colethky, maybe they just don't want others to explain what life is. It's hard to because your only one and everyone is looking at you and thinking of something in a bad way. I just feel scared when I see I'm only Muslim and everyone is all like white or cacusian...can't spell it lol..sorry.

racism is fear of what people don't understand...If there is no love in somebody then they can't see past their nose to see anyone else..cause God loves them too...remember what Jesus did...died on a cross for the whole world not just a few...

Nope, the fact is that there is less racism now, than there used to be back in the day. Umm... remember slavery, segregation etc?

Today is vastly different. It still lingers, but a sea change for sure!

The laws have changed but the racism hasn't. It is just in an easier to digest form...
There has always been hatred...just as there has always been love...
The "olden" days weren't golden and for many groups, it is MUCH better now, for many it isn't.
Read your history book, cruelty is on almost every page...against almost every group

Racism is still around b/c of very opinionated or slow simple minded people. To me, racism is something that is taught, to a child if I may add. B/c if you were to put a group of young children, very young like from maybe 2-4 or 6 they don't see color they see people. its a habit that is picked up from the parents. Well that's just my opinion! And if you don't like racism... DON'T GO ON YOUTUBE B/C 'SOME PEOPLE' LITERALLY BASH THE BLACK RACE!!! AND IT'S RIDICULOUS!
