Why is my last question locked?

The Fiance and Me at a Luau Asked by mandyloo about 1 year ago, 19 answers.

May I ask, who locked the question that I posted last and why is was locked.

I dont see any rules that it broke or anything, it's ridiculous...

I really feel that saying people hate you is going overboard.
Do you really think anyone on here cares that much?

It was locked by an admin because it got out of control with arguing.

Before this tuns into another argument... your question was getting argumentative and off topic so it was locked... the argument does not need to start again...

And that's exactly why it was deleted - I had made a post requesting people stop that, and they just continued with it and we aren't allowing users to bash anyone on a question like that. I'm sorry it had to turn out that way.

I completly understand why you deleted it now. I guess I'm just upset that it even turned into that. I was NOT trying to stary drama, that turned out as a very SERIOUS question and ended up in a personal attack against me.

It's sad that people resort to that. I understand how they dont find my fiance's beliefs as acceptable but to attack my and his parenting skills that when it went to far.

I apoligize in my part of the argument, but can you blame me for defending myself?

I don't blame you - that's why I made that post hoping people would back off and leave your personal life out of it because you were asking a question about a stranger, that's it, people didn't need to bring your family into the situation. If that specific user does that ever again, I will be taking further action.

Thanks stephanie. I hate that it turned into that when I was doing something completely innocent and being nice to everyone who responded.

It seems as though, people on here have a personal hate for me for telling the truth to people in certain circumstances. Oh well.

Anywas... thanks again.

Next time even though it's hard to fight back sometimes, it would probley be better to click the 'report abuse' button so their comment will be removed and if you have something to say just FunMail them so the thread doesn't get locked.

You're welcome though happy

Come on guys, it was not a personal bash against her. Go back and read it. As I said before Hate is a very stong word. I don't think any of those answers should have been taken so serious to offend you that much. I don't hate you or anyone else. This is just crazy. Sorry for you feeling so upset about peoples response to your question and as I said before go back and read it all. You brought your family into it. Ofcourse people are going to react to that kind of info.

Racism is a very sensitive thing, and from what I saw on that thread, it was a (very) angry response by many people against perceived racism (by mandyloo's fiance)

***It seems as though, people on here have a personal hate for me for telling the truth to people in certain circumstances. Oh well. ***

I read the entire thread, and I didnt sense that anyone on the thread hated you. rather, they were angry that racism is still so prevalent

Do you have children? If yes, wouldn't you be offended it people told you that you shouldn't be parents?

I read the entire thread, and I didnt sense that anyone on the thread hated you.
I was referring to not only that thread, but previous one's as well where harleyrider feels the need to bash me and bring up things that are not relevant. Such as saying in my thread about the stranger how she hated my views on marijuana, why would that have even been brought up. Hate was probley not the right word, I should say dislike of me.

Also, I understand how some people got upset when I said that my fiance is a skinhead. It may bother them, but it does not bother me. It's his beliefs and I can't change them. I was just defending his right to be my child parent and defending his parenting skills. He's a great man, just with some bad beliefs.
I live in the south though, in my area the KKK is very active and most of everyone is racist. My entire family is racist, my entire family, my son would be exposed to some sort of racism no matter what. I mean hell, KKK flyers are passed out to people's doors around here. There is not sheltering him from it, I just hope that he's smart enough to make his own decisions and do the right thing.

Mandyloo, if you know in your heart that you're a good mother, why do you care what people on the internet say?

It's not like I'm sitting around my house going Oh, god people on the internet think I'm a bad mother, blah blah blah.

However, if it is said to me, I feel I have the right to defend myself, just as I would expect any mother too.

If you know you are a good mother, what are you defending yourself from?

Are you questioning me, seriously why does it bother you so much that I defend myself. I am sorry that I am not a pushover who will just sit by while someone bad mouths me. I am very opinionated and if I get attacked by someone, of course I am going to speak my mind and defend myself, most sane people would.

I disagree, but I'm going to let it go because I don't think I can discuss things with you without you turning it into an argument.

Fine then, you can agree to disagree with me, this wasn't an argument before you turned it that way though. I was asking a simple question and wasn't even referring to you in the first place.
