The doctor said it needed to be wraped at least an hour. You said you left it wraped 2 days. It's probably red and swollen because you left the bandage on too long or maybe because it was too tight. I'd keep an eye on it though and if it doesn't go down within a couple days, I'd see a doctor about it just to be safe.

I had an operation in my finger september 15 2009. Im barley recovering from the surgery right now. My problem is that my finger is red a swollen...they took the pin I had inside my finger yesterday.it hurt really badly and they put bandage around it....
The doctor said I could wet it and that I needed it wraped up for at least an hour. I kept it wraped up for 2 days. And im scared to death because its red and swollen...
