Why is my dad always so angry with me?

I understand that he has work and dosent want to be bothered but its always like I cant do anything right to him, I mean I pretty much am always in my room and the only time we talk is to ask if I can see my girlfriend and ask if she can come over or if I can go over there. and if he’s home on a day off and I try to get him to do anything with me then he gets angry and tells me to go away and that im bugging him, and when he’s home he’s always inviting his friends over to cook and drink, or he’s with his girlfriend and her 6 year old daughter. I was curious if anyone had the same problem and knows an answer. please help.

I have the same problem. my parents are divorced and whenever im with my dad he like is always angry with me. he’ll ask my to do something for him and I do and he is never satisfied of how I do it and then I get yelled at. and whenever I say something he always finds a way to argue with me, I hate it! & sorry I dont have an answer because im trying to find one too

Have you straight up asked him?

ask to have a chat with your dad and explain how you are feeling dont get upset or accuse him as this will get a negative responce word your argument with a lot of I feel, not if you’s

for example

I feel like I cant do anything right I feel like I just make you angry all the time

NOT youre always yelling at me dad I cant do a thing right by you

Figure out a complete list of grievences and find a way to word them so they arnt accusing, explain how you want things to be in your relationship and how you two can work together for a better relatonship

tell him how your feeling, the things you would like to do together and that you love him
