Why do we all seem to be acting as though sight is our most important sense? If we can't see, it, we can't believe it? What does this say about blind people? Aren't all our senses - touch, hearing, spiritual sensitivity etc, valuable in different ways? Aren't they all essential to make sense of the world around us?

Many times because of the media and what it portrays to be real. We are so conditioned (taught) by what is on tv and in the media, even on the internet.

Magical thinking helped primitive man survived in a world that he did not understand. So today, when we have science to help explain, the human psyche still holds on to primitive urges.

I can't see the wind. I can't see the air. I can't see love. But I can see the evidence of them. I know they exist from that. I can't understand the endlessness of time or the expanse of the universe, but I know it exists. There's a pencil sitting next to this keyboard. ... it's a pretty simple device, but it didn't occur naturally. It took inteligence, will, thought, purpose, and design to make it. How much more complicated than a stupid yellow pencil is the universe, or even a leaf. I can't believe it all just just happened, anymore than this pencil 'just happened'. I see design and purpose everywhere! 'engineer.

Its just one of those things that have been proved to be real.
There are many things in life you cant see but you know are there.
Makes life a lot more interesting.
You just got to believe.

Sometinme it is from an experience they think cannot be explained by any other means.
Sometimes it is from hearing other people's accounts when they are at an impressionable age.
Sometimes it is built into their culture.

We can't see oxygen, but we KNOW it's there, right? We depend on it and can't survive without it. It's like that. We can't see God, but we know He's there. We depend on Him and can't survive without Him. We just have to have faith and trust that they really do exist.

We can't see the wind, we hope it blows to cool us off and we see the evidence (tree limbs swaying) or faith, yet FAITH is the substance of things hoped for, the EVIDENCE of things 'NOT SEEN'.

Heb 10:36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

Heb 10:37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.

Heb 10:38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

Heb 10:39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

Heb 11:1 Now FAITH is the substance of things hoped for, the EVIDENCE of things 'NOT SEEN'.

...compress it into liquid and PRESTO! It's visible. Can any of you do us a big favor and compress God into a liquid?

look @ it this way. you can't see oxygen but you know it;s there or you wouldn't be able to breath. You know love and hate and saddness is there even if you can't see it or you would have no emotion. You know there are billions of creatures in the sea even though youcan't see them all. And you can' see other people's thughts but you know they are thinking. does that make sense? it's something my great grandma told me and it really helped.

You can't see love. But you give it. You can't see gravity. But you see the effects of it.
