Why is her mom so embarrassing?

If you read my previous question, I have a crush on my 23-year-old intern. We went on a field trip yesterday, and I was just trying to get to know him a little bit more. She assumes I am one of the immature screaming girls, and everytime I said something...

about him she yelled. here's some of the embarrassing things:
1. I screamed to the intern when I was tired: Can you give me a piggy-back ride?! He ran up to me with his arms open (haha) pretending he was going to, and her mom starts screaming at me.
2. We're in the smithsonian, and her daughter goes up the escalator when her mom tells her not to. Her mom screams up the down escalator, and her daughter is standing there saying she's not going to come down. instead of being smart and going up the escalator, she screams.
3. I was walking with the intern again, and we were talking about surfing, and she runs up to me, grabs my arm, and yells at me [again] because she thinks I'm all over the intern!
4. The intern (I'm sorry I'm saying that a lot haha) flicked water on me and my friend. I screamed and I'm like, I'm going to get you back!!! got yelled at again.
5. When he (the intern) put his hand on my shoulder or head or back, and on that time on the subway when he leaned onto me and I leaned back on him (relieved, because I was kind of scared, I think he could tell because he got near me every single ride haha)
What her mom doesn't understand is, I'm not all over him...at times he will come up to me or we'd run into each other and just start talking. I think she has something against me, because she had no problem allowing her daughter to hang all over him and take pix every five seconds..Sooo from this, does anyone know what's going on or why her mom is so embarrassing?
