Why give blondes a bad name?

why do people always say blondes are dumb? The smartest girl in my class in blonde. I don't know, I'm confused.
Is it just me or something?

umm im a blonde and I never figured that out...lol

well just in general.. I suppose you watch TV and movies and you see the popular blonde cheerleader who acts like a complete bonehead. I think its the media who's to blame.

I think blondes are considered to be dumber because blonde is a shiny and noticeable hair color, so it attracts a lot of guys. The girls probably act dumb so that they can fit in with what the guy wants. If a lot of them are doing it, then it might makes others think that they are dumb by nature.

not all are dumb but some blondes make a bad name for blonde haired girlies.
so everyone just puts the same label on all of them.

Honestly I blame people like Paris Hilton (if that is her real hair color)... I'm a blonde, and honestly it all leads back to stereotypes... which are suckish! And most of the dumb blondes I know are bleached blonde... reason being that they bleached it so much the chemicals seaped in through their hairline killing their brain cells... Okay, that's a little stereotypical to... So ya, I agree the media did it... but nobody should worry about being dumb, because it's this simple... Don't act dumb... the blonde in your class doesn't act dumb therefore she is just a blonde... if she acted dumb she would be a dumb blonde...

that's a good question. I think it has a lot to do with media and some blonds just standing there looking like idiots. with most of the smartest kinds in our class are blond. so it doesn't make sense lol.

mainly because a lot of girls go out and dye there hair blonde, get a tan, and get horrible looking extensions...all thinking that men will find them more attractive
its those girls who usually give blondes a bad name
