Why does my dad get so angry when I get a boyfriend?

Every time I get a boyfriend my dad get really mad and never wants to be around me and does even talk to me for long periods of time. is there a logical explanation for that or is he just picking on me?

Answer #1

he’s just being a protective dad. no dad wants to see their little girl grow up. I think he’s being protective because he doesnt want you to get hurt (emotionally not physically). he’s not mad at you though I can assure you

Answer #2

Your dad isnt mad at you im sure he is upset becasue you are dating and your dad was once the one dating and he remebers what he was doing at your age and because you are a girl and he a boy(obviously) you are his little girl and he doesnt want boys doing to you what boys did when he was your age… make sense? Our Daddys dont want us to date boys with bad intentions…

Answer #3

Dads are wicked protective of there daughters. They dont like to live in the reality that there little girl is growing up. They just have to open there eyes and see the worlds still turning. He will understand eventually dont let it get to you at all. He just thinks that if you have a boyfriend that your doing things that you shouldnt be doing. Which isnt always completely true.

Answer #4

Well he’s your dad, your his little girl.

Have you ever seen a dad that is ok with their daughter getting a a boy. He just knows your growing up, he sees that everything is changing and also meaby he is a little scared of what you might do with the boy becayse you know of soo much things that go around, as in the teen pregnecys and all that. So just give him a break and talk to him.

Ask him why, and everything, have a converstion with him.
