Why does my blonde turn brassy??

I've been dying my own hair for like 5 years, touching up the roots every 2 months with blonde dye, but it always comes out brassy or orangish...I mean it looks okay, but its not the blonde I want, I dont know how to acheive that whitish blonde...any...

suggestions?

Yeah it's very hard to get the whittish blonde without completely destroying your hair. It just takes LOTs of bleach and awhile to soak in but like I said it will most likely destroy your hair. I would advise a specialist =P

you can actually go to the store and buy this like color stripper. it basically strips all the color from your hair and then you can probably dye it they way you want it. Now I've never used it but I know people that have and then they dyed some of their hair pink and it looks good.

after you bleach your hair go to sallys beauty supply and get SHIMMER LIGHTS. Its a purple shampoo that takes that orange brassy look out of your blonde hair, you can use it everyday as a normal shampoo also, to keep the blonde bright and beautiful. I am a cosmetologist... Licensed in Oklahoma. I promise, it works! and worth it! Its what I use on mine.. :0)

Some peoples hair unfortuanatly just doesnt get there! I tried for a few years to achieve that white colour... But the same thing happened to me... And if you are one of these people, a violet shampoo is not going to be enough to lift it... And bleach, bleach and more bleach does make your hair snap off! Probably not what you want to hear... But I would just dye your hair a mousy colour and get a full head of Ash blonde foils.. Gives you a lessBleached Look and is a lot lighter than what your getting now... Your hairdresser has the best chance of achieving the look you want.. And at home.. Try De Lorenzo Blonde Shampoo... And my absolute blonde Cant live without product Terax Hair Moisturiser...
