McCain in nothing but George Bush III and is resorting to the same rhetoric. And of course the media (who are enganged in a love afair with the old coot), completely lets him off the hook. The man does not even understand the difference between sunni and shia. He need Joe LIEberman to wisper in his ear to get things straight.
The bottom line is, not only is there no proof that AQ will take over if we leave, there is ample proof that it couldn't happen. The main reason being is that AQ is a sunni organization, and Iraq is a majority of shia who would never allow a sunni terrorist organization to take them over. The number of AQ in iraq has been estimated at a few hundred at the most.
But no one from the corporate controlled media will ever call McCain on such ridiculous comments. They are his freinds and they even give him donuts and coffee. They have no motivation to tell the truth. They just want to make him out to appear like a maverick, when in fact he has been in lockstep with bush 99% of the time.
The man would be just as bad as Bush if he is elected. He is another empty suit who will be nothing but a puppet for corporate interests.
In the past I've liked McCain. I have no doubt our nation would be in a lot better shape if McCain got the Republican nomination in 2000 rather than Bush Jr.
Now it seems that McCain has sold his soul to get the Republican nomination. He used to think independently and speak his mind but now he just toes the party line.
I'm seriously scared for America. I don't know who should be it's hard. All I know is I didn't vote b/c I didn't want to contribute to a president I may not want later on! I do know that anyone wanting to run for president is really power hungry. I would not even want to be responsible for a town let alone the country! All I can say is, God please bless America. And the whole world for that matter wether enemies or not!

Why does mccain say that al qaeda will "take a country"?
John McCain has been campaigning by saying that if the US leaves Iraq, we'll be giving al aqaeda a country. Why is he lying so blatantly? Fact: there is zero evidence of what he's saying.
So...do you want a liar for president? Who seems hell bent of...
murder? (because, you know, that's what you get when you give too many soldiers guns in a populace that's not too fond of Americans).
Or perhaps I'm mistaken. Shouldn't there be, you know, credible news media saying that there is a cental organization behind the instability in Iraq, not just the Republican candidate for president? And if there is, why isn't it more mainstream that this big plot is being carried out that, apparently, the democratic party is completely unaware of?
