Why does it hurt?

my friend has a sprained ankle. she sprained it a few days ago and now has a boot.. she cant walk on it. but today it's hurt the worst that it ever has. why now? what's happening?

dont worry about it, I sprain my ankles and knees all the time, I have really weak ankles and knees. tell her to keep the boot on, and tell her to use crutches, its annoying and tedious but it helps

because its sprained, she should try to stay off it for a few days
if shes walking on it while its sprained then its going to hurt because it hasnt healed
she should see a doctor though to make sure it is sprained, and no bone it chipped or anything

she already has. she never walks on.. trust me.

well then tell her to go and see a doctor, she should get the ankle checked out to make sure if it is just a sprain and if no bone had been chipped or anything
the doctor will also be able to tell her how long its going to take to heal

she went to the doctor! thats where she got the boot! its sprained.. she got x-rays

ok, well as I've said it hurts because ts just been sprained and it hasnt healed. so she should stay off it as much as possible to avoid it hurting and wait a few weeks/months for it to heal
