There might be several different reasons. I've often wondered what they all are. Always look beneath the surface... lol.

1. They are vain and know they're hot looking but love to hear it over and over again...

2. They are lacking in confidence and self esteem and need repeated reassurances... Hey, you know how that happens. when you're little, one of your parents makes an innocent comment about your nose -- 'hope you don't have Uncle Harry's nose, his was huge...' and WHAM, you're fixated on your nose for the rest of your life and that's all you can see... lol.

Now there IS a theory that superiority complexes are born out of feeling inferior, so who the heck knows...

The other thing is, we're kind of brainwashed into thinking that physical appearance is quite a lot more important than it really is. It's a common belief that being tall, blonde and female will get you out of a traffic ticket more than being short, dark and male. lol.

Humans... sigh.
