U really have to make your own choices.. Even if you hate the fact that are putting down your boyfriend. You wouldnt truly like the guy if you are doubting in how your family reacts to the guy you bring home. Ive brought home a few guys my family doesnt like, but it never interferd in how i liked him unless i knew he wasnt good enough. Another thing if you are truly botherd by it tell your family that it bothers you. If you dont already know what kind of man they want for you ask them for there preference on what they want. Most familys in the end just want a man for women to be treated well and to feel safe and welcomed, someone that they can trust to treat you they way you deserve to be treated like.

but You really do have to ask yourself if you like him or not and decide yourself, who cares what anyone else thinks, its you that matters and him. dont let anyone decide things for you its your life and you have to deal with it
