Why do people say 7th grade is the toughest year?

Was 7th grade a tough year for you???
because I always hear people say 7th grade is the toughest grade..I know it was a living hell for me...but why is 7th grade the toughest grade???

omg 7th grade was a wreck for me!
people are growing up, maturing at different rates
hormones are everywhere
people thrive off of popularity points
being the best is the most important thing to kids that age
its just so competitive
and people act so b*tchy
7th grade is bad if you let the fakeness get to you
stay who you are and you'll be fine.

I dont know? I guess its because everything is changing and your world starts to really form for you.
My 7th grade was not my tougest year. In fact, 7th grade was the best year I have ever had.

I think it is the easy year not the hard year lol

It wasn't for me. It was pretty easy, actually.

cause that's the year guys ussually are imature and make fun of you

it wasn't hard for me it is grade 8 that is killing me! everone is changing and in a bad way!

well I am in 7th grade and my teacher left becase she is pregnant so our teacher that we have right now is making our life hell!!! well I guess it is the hardest because you learn a lot. and in 8th grade when you get ready for your classes in high school they use your 7th grade benchmark, cst's, and cat 6 test, so if you do bad you will get into bad classes in high school. but overall 7th grade IS living hell

it is hell for me because of all the projects and my social studies teacher has a hearing problem and yells all the time and gives out 18 page packets 3 for every section we do...a section a week and thats my excuse.

7th grade was not the toughest year I'd have to say grade 10 everyone is getting boyfriends, having sex, drinking, partying,drugs like crazy and a lot of people can drive. Its not a good combo but it's so much to deal with and you start realizing who you are as a person and whta your morals and values are

yeah, 7th sucked for me. I hated it. 6th was the best!

7th wasn't tough just HORRIBLE!! me and my friends got in trouble a lot with the drama. 8th had to be the best year for me!

well it depends...if your talking work then..no it isnt...because the years just get harder NOT easier...and if your talking about friends and relationships, its not neccessarily the toughest its more like hard to egt along because thats when kids are usually going through puberty and they just want to do what they WANT...ahmmm ahmm *coughs*...but work wise id say grade 11 was the TOUGHEST...garde 12 was probably the easiest...^^^...but thats just what I think=^P

I actually loved 7th and 8th grade, I didn't start going down hill until 11th grade.

I think 8th grade is harder actually

because it's like the changing point.you're going into 8th grade(ruling school mode),you're starting your official teenage life,and it's stressful.plus nowadays its all about glamour,popularity,money,and iPods!and then when you turn 16 about what you drive! and what your cell phone looks like! you're starting adulthood.im just finishing 7th grade.it is great for me because I made it to popularity.also im in a fight with this girl and im making it a living hell for her right now.if you're curious message me.I know it's hard on her but I literally hate her.I mean hate.so yeah 7th grade is really hard.
