Why do people hate emos?

why do people make fun. . .Of people that are emo. . .I LOVE pain. . .It feels good. . .I makes me feel like I am alive. . .I cut. . .and I am proud. . .

there is a big difference between emos and cutters
if you love pain then that is fine, it does not mean you're emo

if your proud them why did you put the question as annoymos?

because emo's are stupid people there is no reason to do what they do and I cant wait tell they get hauled of to jail when there 30 cause there pants where to tight and little jimmy sees there no no parts and they get the sausage from Bubba if you know what I mean. emos need to grow up every ones life suks at one point or another

The only peopl ethat hate emos are the ones that aren't complex enough to understand them. The same oes for the people who make fun of them. And I understand the cutting thing. But honestly, it isn't good. I'm not going to be one of those people that tell you to get help or anything, because I did it too. I guess it just depends on the person.

I dont hate them but I think its sad that they cut themselves, you can do something else to tell that you are alive besides cutting. I dont hate them, and I agree, I think for some its just a phase. I guess its ok to be an emo, I just think its sad that you have to cut yourself

...It could be the fact that they are grossed out by blood. I mean. Some people if they even see a few drops of blood they freak out. And others hate them because they are happy with themselves... And you really shouldn't cut because you can damage your veins or arterys and if you tear it or cut too deep it will either constrict blood flow to your body or maybe even form a blood clot. :/

I have no idea. It's f*cking stupid when people give them sh*t when most of the time they know NOTHING about emo and what it's all about. Some emos cut, but not ALL of them. And you don't have to be depressed/suicidal and b*tch about stuff 24/7 to be emo either. There's wayyy more to it than that. As long as your happy with who you are, that's all that matters.
The way I see it, I'd rather be hated for who I truly am than loved for someone I'm not.

I totally support m friends who are emo because it is their choice if they want to be emo or not. EMO SUPPORTER ALL THE WAY!!!

I think it's more of a teenage fad than anything else, and too many people are obsessive over it, that is why I have begun not to like it. Mind you I don't make fun of it. I think it's more of a phase than anything else...notice you don't see too many 40 year old emo's.

Also, that cutting thing being an emo image and depression being an emo image, seriously is not a good one. I had both problems and never considered myself to be emo, even though I was pretty much smothered by them. Emo's in general make these things seem like a emo thing to do, and I actually found when I first tried looking for help, people made fun of me for being emo, which I did not consider myself. I was more emotional than a good 95% of these a$$holes who call themselves emo.

I do not make fun of emo's but that is why I do not like the emo image.

You cut yourself to feel alive? What a sad life that is, to not be happy with what you already have. It's not something to be proud of. It's like being proud that you're a drug addict, because that's what cutting essentially is. You get high from the adrenaline of cutting, and you can't stop, because it makes you feel better about yourself. Get help on the cutting, you'll realize when you're older perhaps that cutting doesn't help at all.

I use to think I was emo and I cut my self but im 14 now and I love my life really if you think about it you got all you ever needed but some people might not get what they want but at least they have there mom and dad like meee I have my mom and dad and everything I ever wished for but I want to become a singer and dont say im a spoild little rich girl because yhhh hahahaha just yh I love emos its you life live it day by day how you want to not how people tell you too

Sounds to me like you have depression. Sorry to be so upfront, but cutting yourself is unnatural and is usually a cry for help. Get some before you do some serious damage to yourself.

As for hating Emo's, no-one does. People fear or ridicule whet they don't understand.

emo has nothing to do with cutting, or liking pain
cutting is self harm, you are a self harmer
and you do need to get help
because its not the kind of pain that is good to like
there are other types of pain, physical, emotional, mental ect, that make you feel alive...usually ones that involve learning from your mistakes or finding out something new
but self harm has nothing to do with the sterotype emo
and nothing to do with any other sterotype either...neither does dperession

You are WRONG... your NOT emo just because you suffer from bipolar and manic depression. That's NOT what makes you emo... neither does cutting. Depression and Bipolar disorder are MEDICAL CONDITIONS. They have NOTHING to do with being emo so your very wrong if you say your emo just because you have those 2 medical conditions.
