a lot of people also steretype themselves
and then theres a lot of people who are confused about it
like all the idiots who go around calling everyone in black an emo
and every emo a cutter
this does come from ignorence, arrogence, and just plain stupidity
people like that dont really keep an iopen mingd.
if they dont like it, it must be bad.
they also do it because (somehow) it makes them feel better and bigger
but theres also a lot of people that arnt like that
well classification is human nature, we do it to save on memory space, and so we can work with a lot of information...
it becomes a problem when people forget that stereotypes are broad generalizations and that people are individuals... in addition these negative stereotypes stem from ignorance and fear of the unknown...
yea its pretty much how it goes. part of it is ignorance, but as humans, we create "theories" or assumptions for things that we really dont know that much about. so basically everybody does it, if you think of most of the common stereotypes that are known, you can pretty much find a little bit of truth in most of them as messed up as it is. but it is also true that once you take the time to learn some more about something, you tend to have a different opinion, and thats whats wrong with this world sometimes.

Why do people feel the need to stereotype people?
Does it stem from ignorance? Or do people just insist on classifiying everybody else?
