Why do peirods hurt so much?

Ok I am a girl I am 14 and I now wot a period is but why dose it have to hurt?
I think anyone could bleed wid out beeing in pain.

the pain is probably due to cramps
but the pain shouldnt be unbearable
if cramps hurt a lot talk to your doctor about it
it may be a gopod idea to go on the pill which can help lighten your flow and reduce cramps

it comes from your uterus contracting. Its pretty similar to what happens during childbirth only the contractions are not as strong. Things like light exercise and drinking rasberry leaf tea (it causes your muscles to relax a bit so the contractions are not as strong) can help and if its really bad you should definately talk to your doctor. I wouldnt recommend going straight on the contraceptive pill though as excess pain can be a sign something is wrong eg. endometriosis which if left untreated can cause infertility so I would it checked out first.
