Why do i feel so ugly?

A lot of my friends tell me I am pretty but why cant I believe it at all?? Can you help me get some more self esteem?

True friends, never lie. Your friends are there to help support you along with your family. You don't have a depression disorder? I mean I have a depression disorder so I'm used to being depressed a lot. I used to really think that I was ugly, and then I finally just started tell myself that no matter how ugly I thought I was that luckily not everyone shared my opinion on how I looked, which I soon discovered to be a fact. Anyway, it may just come down to the point where all it takes is choosing to consider yourself pretty. I hope this helps.

just look down deep inside of yourself and look for your inner beauty, because that's the most important kind there is

I think all people have issues with their looks. check it out on any of the celeb's websites and you will see it is true. we all dislike ourselves or see all our imperfections while others see the real you. the hardest thing to do is GET OVER IT AND BE YOURSELF - ALWAYS!

I'm 47, don't see myself as anyone special - HAVE THE SAME ISSUES - AND SO DO ALL MY FRIENDS! we are upper middle-class, have raised four kids, have tons of friends, take lots of nice vacations, and still worry about WHAT OUR FRIENDS ARE SAYING! believe it...it'll always be an issue. so best thing to do is GET OVER IT AND BE YOURSELF!

What would you say to your best friend if she had your body and asked the same question? Sometime when you are alone, find a mirror and practice what you would say. Do this every day.

The best way to boost confidence is to do something your thought you could never do, it makes you feel as if you have achieved something and automatically feel good about yourself.

see thats the thing with friends. I feel ugly as hell, but they always cheer me up. They will point out flaws, like if I have a huge zit or somthing, but they are honest, not in a mean way, but overall they say im pretty (I dont beleive them at all but yeah lol). I mean looking at your pic your very very pretty. But overall you should beleive your friends, from what I see =)
