Why do i feal so bad?

Today I was sitting in my living room watching tv, when a squirrel came along (outside) and started eating out of the bird feeder, so I ran out and scared it away. it came back three more times and I did the same thing, but by the fifth time I was...

getting frustrated, so I got my pellet gun and shot it. I hit its hind leg, I didnt mean to kill it, just scar it away. but now im finding I can stop thinking about it, and I feel like sh*t for shooting it. why, considering I've done stuff a thousand times worse, do I feal so bad about this?? like im not some nature loving hippie, I hunt so im used to killing stuff like partridge and what not, but I just feel so bad about this for some reason...

Maybe because it wasn't doing snything just trying to eat, or maybe you're getting to like animals more and more, just try to think of other things than the squirrel.

You feel bad, because you harmed another living being, that you should have helped instead. It's getting winter, the cute little squirrels are trying to get enough food and fat stored up to survive...and it wouldn't have cost you much to feed it. Worse, maybe you wounded , not killed it, and it's suffering. Go get some squirrel food, and put it out for the squirrels, and maybe you can make up for your bad.
