Well first of all it is just fun. But I found out that the mst reason they are doing it is because they want to show other guys, that you are taken.

I don't know about guys but I think it's more a girl thing to give a guy a hicky I maybe wrong... but I love to give my boyfriend hickies.. it facinates him as well... he likes to show it to his friend letting them know he's having a great relationship.. he' scared to give me hickies.. because he doesn't want to suck on my skin to hard he's so gentle with me but I wish he gave me hickies too so I could tell me friends that our relationship is gr8
