Why do a lot of people hurt others?

Why is there a majority of people in this country, or even this world that treat others rudely or even go so far as to hurt them? Why can't people just be pleasant to EVERYONE and not be rude?

Well you are exaggerating a tad bit... And usually people are rude because they're frustrated and taking it out on you... I would just ignore it...

yeah I meant like two different types of things
like theres rude people
and then there are people who just go out and hurt others
and I just don't understand why

The majority of people is not rude. The majority also does not go out and try to hurt people. And it's not America, either. And typically the rudeness and mean streaks go away after high school. Then most of us will grow up. But then there are some people who I like to call "corporate jerks", the jackasses in business suits who will hurt anyone to get ahead. Those people did not grow up.

Hurt people, hurt people.

"man is born evil, and he teaches himself mannors"- a very wise person. some guys are stupid and cant get that second step of teaching themselves

well, really there is nothing we can do about it but be good people ourselves and teach our kids when that time comes to have respect for otthers. lead by example...thats really all that can be done. I know very annoying huh?
