Why did the word "rawr" get so popular?

I remember there was a picture of a anime guy dressed in a dinosaur costume saying rawr~ means I love you in dinosaur. Is that where it came from or somewhere else?

Well I not onlly say rawr because it means I love you I also use grrr because that means I hate you and I can say it to my geo teacher without him ever knowing!
