You guys can't just tell this girl to suddenly become confident, and ignore what others say. Saying is a LOT easier than doing. She never said she was body-conscious, if she was I doubt she would have sent the guy the note in the first place. At her age, that takes guts. Also, a person can't just up and pull a hot cup of confidence out of their... well, you know.

Anyways, what those other kids on the bus did to you was really mean. Most kids do stuff like that because it makes them feel better about themselves. Even though it's hard, you can try making a joke out of it.. or at least pretend to. Like in that situation, maybe instead of letting them all know that they hurt you, laugh with them! They'll all be SO confused, and I guarantee you, will shut up. You've got to be the bigger person. I used to be bullied when I was in gradeschool, and what made it all worse was that I was the shiest person in the whole grade. Every single day, I would be tormented by the other girls, etc. You have to take a stand. TELL them that their BS isn't going to hurt you, laugh when they insult you, don't cry, don't fight, don't show any signs of weakness. They will eventually stop. Also know that as you get older, all this immature nonsense will decrease, too.

I dont really know what youre talkin about but like work on becoming more confident with yourself... when you have confidence it shows and people see and feel it... when you become confident really say f*ck off to everyone... people think that you NEED them... but all you need to know is yourself... no one else matters cause when sh*t hits the fan its your own a$$ you have to save... find you and when you do people will flock around you wanting to know you...

Some people just can't grow up. There are lots of kids that get picked on at my school as well. I just think that people say stuff like this to make themselves feel like they're "Better" than you. I would ignore it, and I know that is hard but just try.
