don't panic. it could be that the DVD payer needs to be cleaned, or the disc's surface could have a small scratch or some dirt on it. just like CDs they can easily be scratched, even when you're being extra-gentle with them. my suggestion is wither get the player checked out or buy a disc repair kit for your DVDs. plus, it's cheaper than buying them again.

Why can't the disc be read? For my birthday I got all of the Jurassic Park DVD's. I watched all 3 on my birthday but this morning when I put one and two in the disc could not be read and I asked my brother and he said that they couldn't be watched again...
and the message comes up 'The disc can't be read'. Why can't it? and why did they work the first time and not this time. I am seriously annoyed because now I am going to have to buy them all again with my xmas money
