I have the same problem, try to write in a diary before you go to bed, just so your not thinking about it too much. It doesnt work very well, but worth a shot.
I have that same problem I have tried to goto sleep for the last 3 hours so I gave up
me too...^_*
I used to write a diary to feel better and sleep...try to take warm shower even if you don't want it, that helped me a lot...*_*
It's insomnia. Or sounds like. Go to a doctor if the problem persists. He will give you 'sleepytime' pills.
If you don't want to opt for that, here are some tips:
-Don't watch TV or go on the computer two hours before your going to bed. People who have trouble with sleeping have found this to be the cause. The screen has some variable in it that triggers you to stay awake. I read this somewhere. This is the biggest thing to avoid.
-Don't eat three hours before you go to sleep, digesting isn't giving your body resting time.
-Like above, write in a journal to get your thoughts out, or take specific time in the day to think about all the thoughts your suppressing because your too busy. This will clear your mind.
-Exersize more. This will release some of your energy that may be keeping you up late.
-Drink Chamomile Tea before you go to bed. Don't try this with Green Tea or any other tea, those contain caffeine, which will cause you to bounce around like a maniac while all you really want to do is get some shut eye.
-Keep a lavender plant or lavender oils nearby. Smelling these can be very relaxing.
-Light candles around your house/room in SAFE nonflammable places. The flickering light makes you tired.
-Listen to music before you sleep.
OR you could just go for the 'Fight Club' Route and follow his lead, that seemed to cure HIS insomnia :]

one relaxing thing is to put lavender iol on your pillow before you go to bed
the smell calms you down
also a warm bath before bed can make you feel sleepy
dont exerscise or eat a few hours before bed either
if you must exerscise try yoga or meditate
it can be caused by stress
too much stress in your life or a random schedule for sleeping can set you off to not sleep for a couple of hours
try to relax(:
Yeh that's a problem for me as well, I just read magazines, books or play on the computer until I can not keep my eyes open. If you live in a noisy household then tell everyone to shut up. =)






Why can't I sleep?
Every night when I go to bed, I am really tired I then go to bed and I cant get to sleep I lay there for about at least 2 hours before I go sleep. I hate it. I just lay there with my disturbing thoughts and I cant stop thinking, I just want to sleep but I cant.
Why??
How do I sleeep??
